Melanie started her grooming career in 2007 as a bather at PetSmart where she worked until 2015 when she transitioned to a vet's office. She has spent the last 15 years honing her skills so she is able to provide the best quality services to your beloved pets.

Schnauzers are probably the most incorrectly groomed breed we come across. This one was a doozy but I was more than happy to correct her pattern to the best of my ability given how she started. As a professional it really grinds my gears to see this and know the owner paid for it but also makes me sad for the groomer who has been misguided. Show schnauzers have a different grooming process than pet schnauzers but that doesn’t mean pet schnauzers can’t look just as good!

Seven years ago today this post went viral 🤯 I’ve had thousands of messages thanking me for this info and it’s still making the rounds today. Over half my clients are doodles and I love them and their families. Open communication, education, and proper care at home and in the salon are imperative for maintaining these relationships and expectations for grooming. First visit for Cricket so she can get used to me, the salon, and the grooming process. It’s important to introduce puppies to grooming early so it becomes a routine part of their life instead of something scary. I also may have taken advantage of her visit to get in all the snuggles I could! 😍

This is a friendly reminder that payment is due at time of service. I don’t mind if you have to send it over once you get home (if you’re my client you know I live in a dead zone so sometimes payment apps don’t go through), but it should be sent promptly and as a priority. I’m very flexible and understanding but having to hound people for payment days after the service is completed is becoming an issue. As always, I thank you for your continued support and I appreciate every one of you!
