🐾 Hi, I'm Peter! I'm a dog but I speak Cat 🐾

Are you one of those people who keeps saying, "I wish I could get a dog, but my cats would never allow it?" Well, good news—I might just be your cats' approval-rated roommate. I'm about 1½ years old, weigh a perfectly portable 19 pounds, and I was found as an unclaimed stray hanging around with cats. That's right. While other dogs are out here writing strongly worded complaints about felines, I was apparently building my social circle around them.

So for all you cat lovers looking for a dog who already speaks a little "cat," consider this your gift, neatly wrapped in 19 pounds of adorable.

Now, let's address the tiny elephant in the room. I was recently neutered, and before that I was pretty convinced that every square inch of the world belonged to me. As a result, I've been known to leave the occasional "Peter was here" signature. The good news? A simple belly band can help while I learn that not everything needs my personal stamp of approval. What else do I bring to the table? I'm cute, compact, young, and ready to trade stray life for couch life. I promise to provide entertainment, companionship, and occasional comedic relief.

🚨 EUTHANASIA PENDING IN GARY, INDIANA 🚨

This sweet 7-month-old boy is running out of time. 💔

Born in a backyard with very little socialization, the world is still a scary place for him. What he needs isn't perfection—he needs patience, understanding, and someone willing to show him that people can be kind.

He's adorable, young, and has so much potential, but he needs a COMMITTED foster willing to give him the time and consistency he deserves. Rescue is not possible without dedicated fosters stepping up. Commitment matters. These dogs depend on us.

Just look at our little mama now! 😍

It's hard to believe this is the same girl. Valkyrie has come so far, and every day she shows us more of her sweet, loving personality. Watching her heal, gain confidence, and finally get the care she deserves has been incredible.

We are completely in love with this girl. ❤️

From surviving to thriving, Valkyrie is proving just how resilient dogs can be when given a chance. Her future is looking brighter every day, and we can't wait to see her find the forever family she deserves.

🚨 FROM DUMPSTER DOG TO COUCH POTATO — HI, I'M TITAN! 🚨

Remember me? I'm the handsome guy who was left by a dumpster like yesterday's trash. Thankfully, some humans saw my worth, and now I'm medically cleared, feeling great, and ready for my next chapter!

I'm about 3 years old, 62 pounds of squishy pitty perfection, and here's what I've learned about myself:

🛏️ Professional blanket burrower
❤️ Certified Velcro dog — I love being near my person
🍖 Treat enthusiast (and I've gotten way better at taking them without accidentally tasting your fingers)
🐾 Working hard on my "sit"
🚶 Pretty good on a leash... unless I get excited and forget my manners for a minute
🏠 Potty trained
📦 Crate trained
🔇 Usually quiet in the backyard and don't spend my days barking at every dog that walks by

I do great with my foster's female dog and enjoy having canine friends with proper introductions.

Now for my honest report card:

🙈 I don't love being left alone
👕 I still don't like people grabbing my collar
🏥 The vet is definitely not my favorite place
🤏 When I get overly excited, I might get a little mouthy and nibble, so I'd do best with dog-savvy people and older kids who understand my excitement

But most of the time? I'm just a chill dude looking for a soft bed, a cozy blanket, and someone to love.

I was thrown away once. I'd really like my next stop to be forever.

Our little buddy, Frankie Fingers, passed away this morning, and our hearts are shattered. 😢

From the day you came into our lives, you showed us that even the smallest souls can leave the biggest paw prints on our hearts. You were loved, cherished, and surrounded by people who cared deeply for you until your very last breath.

We wish love alone could have saved you. We wish we had more time. More cuddles. More moments. More memories.

But what brings us comfort is knowing that you never had to wonder if you mattered.

You mattered.
You were important.
You were loved.
And you were never alone.

Thank you for every smile, every tiny victory, and every ounce of joy you brought into our lives for those two days. THANK YOU TO DR G for loving him. The pain we feel today is a reflection of how deeply you were loved.
