A Dog's Dilemma Petsitting

A Dog's Dilemma Petsitting A Dog’s Dilemma offers loving, dependable care for dogs, cats, exotics and barn animals. Veterinary assistant-trained. All visits personally provided by me.

Walks, drop-in visits, vacation care, overnights (upon availabilty) and more. I’ve always been an animal lover but, when I moved to Newington, CT in 2011, I decided it was time to actually get involved. As I researched local shelters, I became deeply saddened over just how many animals were homeless. Even worse were the countless stories of abuse and neglect. Being a pet mom to seven dogs and four

cats (yes, that's 11 pets!), I felt a deep desire to get out there and make a difference in any way I possibly could. So I began to volunteer for an organization called Dog Days, which hosted a variety of amazing adoption events. Feeling inspired through my work at Dog Days, I kicked up my search for even more volunteer opportunities. A DOG NAMED GEORGE

One day, through a friend’s Facebook post, I read about a dog who lived his long days and nights outside. I placed numerous calls to the Animal Control Officer of the town he was in until something was done to help this forgotten pup. Eventually he was taken into safety by the Wallingford Animal Control. An American Bulldog Mix by the name of George … this little guy stole my heart. During his time at the shelter, we developed a very special connection … and I made it my mission to find him a home! When the day finally came, I was overjoyed and knew that I wanted to take on a more personal role in the lives of the animals I helped. I deeply enjoyed my time at the shelter … it felt like home. I eventually began assisting with their page and even took the lead on performing home visits to ensure each animal was placed in a safe and caring environment. Sadly, George is no longer with us … but his memory is a constant reminder that my work is never done. THE NEXT CHAPTER

After my Dachshund, Daisy, was diagnosed with cancer I decided to explore the field of veterinary medicine. I enrolled in a five month course at Middlesex Community College and participated in rotations at Pieper Memorial in Middletown. It was during this time, I received more devastating news … another one of my beloved Doxies, Bandit, had developed cancer. After completing my coursework to become a Certified Vet Assistant, I put any further aspirations on hold in order to spend as much time as possible with them during the final months of their lives. The grief and heartache I felt over losing my pets was indescribable. However, it helped me validate a purpose I always knew I had … to love, cherish, and save innocent animals. A DOG'S DILEMMA

A Dog’s Dilemma encompasses everything I am at heart. An animal lover. A helper. An extremely hard worker. And a trustworthy friend. Whether it’s taking your dog for a long walk while you’re at work or making sure your cat gets TLC while you go away for a long weekend, I will take the absolute best care of your pet(s) at the times when you can’t. If you’re in need of in-home pet care, I’d love to chat. Because taking a trip or working an extra long shift should not have to create a dilemma.

Everyone meet Zeus 🐾

This handsome senior gentleman is one of my newest clients, and I already adore him.

Zeus and I recently spent some time together enjoying dinner, taking a nice walk, and making sure he got his medications—which, as you can see, go down much easier with a little peanut butter! 😂

He may have a gray muzzle, but he’s still got plenty of pep in his step and an endless supply of sweetness to share.

I have a feeling Zeus and I are going to have some wonderful adventures together whenever his family needs an extra helping hand.

Welcome to the A Dog’s Dilemma family, Zeus! ❤️🐶

Please help me welcome Duck and Halo to the A Dog’s Dilemma family! ❤️

These two sweet girls are settling in beautifully, and I am so honored that their parents trusted me with their care—especially since this is the very first time they’ve ever been left with someone else.

Duck and Halo couldn’t be more lovable, and it’s already easy to see how adored they are.
My goal is always to make both pets and their people feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while they’re apart.

Thank you Natasha & Aaron for trusting me with your precious girls.
I can’t wait to get to know them even better and become a regular part of their lives! ❤️🐾

Everybody meet Ozzie 🐾

A couple of months ago, my clients had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to their beloved corgi, who many of you may remember me posting about before. He was a dog I had become incredibly fond of during our time together , and losing him was incredibly difficult for everyone who loved him.

Recently, they welcomed this adorable little guy into their home, and today Ozzie and I had our very first visit together ❤️

I’m happy to report that he is an absolute sweetheart already full of puppy curiosity, cuddles, and personality.
I’m looking forward to watching him grow and being a part of his life and journey for years to come.

Welcome to the A Dog’s Dilemma family, Ozzie ❤️

So looking forward to spending some visits with Keiko and Tokyo until tomorrow!
