Meet Bueno!

Bueno is a 5 year old gelding that I bought as a 2 year old. I trained and rode Bueno in the arena and on the ranch until he was a 4 year old and sold him to a great family just down the road. They have owned him for just over a year and unfortunately their teenager just isn’t as interested in riding as he was last year and they don’t need as many horses anymore. They asked me if I would take Bueno back and find him a new home, and I am happy to do so.
Bueno may just be a plain sorrel but he is and always has been cuter than a button! He is shapey with a great hip, and has really filled out in his 5 year old year. Though he is not a large gelding, he has done all aspects of ranch work just like the big horses.
He has branded thousands of calves both head/heel and with a 13 year old dragging them to the fire. I actually asked to borrow Bueno back this last branding season because he is such a great ride. He has doctored cattle outside, worked an alley, and sorted in big pens as well. He really hunts a cow, and can really come across himself. He has trotted miles and miles in the rocks and the sand. He crosses water, opens gates, loads in the trailer and is good to shoe. He js easy to catch and gentle and friendly to be around and to ride.
Bueno is just a ranch gelding with a fancy handle at the moment but he would make a great heel or breakaway horse. He has a BIG stop!
Bueno has been ridden by experienced youth, and older generations as well. When he is being ridden consistently (even if it’s just once a week) he is absolutely gentle. He can get cinchy acting with a lot of time off. It’s nothing big and if you lunge him before you get on or just walk him out he will be fine. I just got on him with 3 months off and I walked him out slowly and didn’t have a problem the rest of the day. He will be ridden until he sells.
He really is a sweetheart, and fits most styles of riders! I really enjoy riding this gelding and you will too!
