Did you know that on D Day there were 3 dogs flown in with the 13th battalion that parachuted down? Bing, Ranee and Monty were all Alasation or Alasation mix dogs who took part in D Day. Of the three, Bing was awarded the Dicken medal (a high honor awarded to animals). Monty was wounded and Ranee was missing in action.

If you are interested in a short read on the parachuting dogs, this book is available on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/D-day-Dogs-Remarkable-stories-HarperTrue-ebook/dp/B00ICCRPBU/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=dday+parachute+dogs&qid=1559825086&s=gateway&sr=8-1
