Iris finished her championship this weekend at the River City Cluster and Lone Star Norwich Terrier Club Regional Specialty in San Antonio, Texas

She went out with a bang with a Best of Opposite S*x and Best of Winners on Friday and Select on both Saturday and Sunday

The girls had a great weekend at the Yosemite Kennel Club Dog show in Sonora.

Since I was volunteering as a club member we did not show in conformation but we were able to do a few other activities.
Vesper achieved her Trick Dog Advanced title and passed 2 Temperament Tests to earn her ATT title.
Sayre achieved her trick dog intermediate and Canine Good Citizen titles.

Vesper, Sayre, and Zeus were all certified as Bark Rangers as well!

Sayre is just 3 pts shy of her BCAT after todays runs

Registering First-Time Dogs with AKC PAL or Canine Partners Program:

If you have a first-time participant dog that isn’t already registered with the AKC, this event is still open to them! You can register your dog through the AKC’s Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL) program (for purebred dogs not currently registered with the AKC) or the AKC Canine Partners Program (for mixed breed dogs). These programs allow your dog to participate in AKC events, including Fast CAT, once they are officially registered.

The girls enjoying the past couple months and a couple puppy updates

It has been a heavy day in the Beauceron community.

For those that may not know, I also show and am involved with Beaucerons. We lost our girl earlier this year but plan to have another join our home soon.
With all that has transpired today, it has made me reflect on Why I am breeding and Why I do what I do with my dogs.

A fellow breeder friend of mine wrote these words that resonated with my feelings and beliefs and I wanted to share them here.

From Carly Fryer:
(Edited out a portion more specific to her kennel)

“I have dogs because I love dogs. All of my dogs, even the ones that are naughty, broken, old, stupid, and ugly, are beloved. I want them all to be happy and feel safe. This doesn't always look the same for every dog. I will place dogs in new homes if they aren't thriving in mine. I will keep dogs forever, even if I don't want them, if they won't be safe or thrive anywhere else. I will take back any dog I have ever produced as a breeder, or purchased, or rescued.

Maybe some day I'll have given back to my dogs a tenth of what they've given to me. All I can do is try.”

There’s a lot more that I could say but at the end of the day, there is not much in this world more important to me than my dogs whether they live in my home or are puppies I’ve produced. My love for them all is unconditional and I will always choose to do right by them ❤️

All the girls are off to their new homes and doing wonderful.
I miss them all so much but love getting updates and seeing how loved they are by their new families
