Loretta thought she found her forever home but unfortunately the resident dog there was not too happy about having a new fur sister.🐶

Loretta is now living in a foster home in Lancaster, PA and is ready to meet YOU! 😊

Loretta is as sweet as can be!💕 This cutie is a petite gal that is very loving and friendly. Loretta’s charm shines when you meet her.🤩 She loves to play with other dogs and is very submissive. Loretta is medium energy and will romp and run around but then settles to chill inside.

We think Loretta’s ideal home would have a companion dog to play with and a fenced in yard. Loretta loves children and is very gentle. She was a little wary of the cat she met, but didn’t bother with it and was seemingly indifferent to the cat.🐱 Loretta loves water - she would happily accompany you on a trip to a lake or hike along a creek!

Loretta is working on her house training and has done great with routine breaks outside. She is crate-trained. Loretta needs a little help with leash training, as she pulls when she is walking.🦮 Loretta is up to date on her shots and spayed.

☀ Sunny Update ☀

🏡 Sunny has been in the York, PA area for a little over a month now. When she first arrived, she was timid and could only take about ten steps before resting. Sunny is more comfortable now and considers herself the honorary little sister to her furry siblings. She is also able to walk around the yard for a few minutes without having to stop and rest.

🐾 Sunny attends physical therapy sessions at Companion Animal Hospital in Mount Joy with her foster sister. Her physical therapist gave us exercises and instructions to help improve the use of Sunny's legs and to build her muscle mass. We can already see an improvement in the use of her legs from the daily exercises we do with her, but she has a ways to go. The physical therapist will reassess her progress in six weeks.

💜 Part of Sunny's therapy instructions are she has to be on a leash at all times when she is outside and is not allowed to run until her legs have improved. This is very frustrating for an active 6-month old puppy so we make sure to give her plenty of opportunities to explore and sniff outside. She makes up for the lack of running by wrestling with her furry siblings. 😆

🩷 Sunny is quite vocal and will tell you and the other dogs what she's thinking. I swear she's having a conversation with us! She is good with the foster family's dogs, but is wary of visiting dogs and people. After a few minutes of barking at the visitors, she will calm down. Sunny is still a puppy and is working on improving her puppy manners. Consistency and patience is the key.

🐶 Sunny is a smart pup. She is potty-trained and crate-trained. She knows several commands - sit, paw, and in your house. She also knows how to ring the bell to go outside. She has even learned that the opening of the refrigerator door means food!

🙏 Please wish Sunny the best as we continue to help her heal from her previous injuries. She is a sweet puppy that deserves a family that will be able to give her the care and love she will need as she grows.

‼️BUDDY URGENTLY NEEDS A FOSTER IN CENTRAL PA ‼️

Buddy does not get along with male dogs and this has become a very challenging situation for his current foster, who has a male dog in her home.

We really need to get Buddy into a home without a male dog so that he can live comfortably and happily.

Buddy is a 2-year-old, 90 lb Husky/Pyrenees/Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix fostered in Pottstown, PA. He’s a friendly, people-loving boy who enjoys playing with other dogs, but does best with female dogs and should not be placed with male dogs, small dogs, or small children due to his size and rough play style.

Buddy is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands. Like many Husky/Pyrenees mixes, he’s smart, active, and independent. He will need continued training for leash manners, jumping, and counter surfing. He can be protective of his home and occasionally howls.

Buddy’s ideal home will have a securely fenced yard and an active family committed to providing him with plenty of exercise, structure, and ongoing training.
