Please continue to care, volunteer, donate, and speak out against cruelty to animals. We are a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue and sanctuary from Memphis, TN. Several years ago, we moved 30 miles outside of town to a large piece of property to help more animals. We primarily rescue seniors and hospice dogs. We are a foster based rescue, we do not have a physical shelter that is open to the public.

Most of our foster homes are in the Memphis, TN area, considered the greater Mid-South area, a tri state area of TN/MS/AR. The mission of MidSouth Animal Rescue League is to improve life for animals in the community by providing rescue, shelter, medical care, foster homes, hospice care, and adoption services to animals we rescue from cruelty, abandonment, and neglect in the community and from local shelters. To provide sanctuary and hospice care to special medical needs and senior dogs. To reduce pet overpopulation by advocating and providing spay/neuter and aid to elderly or low income people in the community through our Neighborhood Project program. To reduce the number of homeless animals entering Mid-South shelters by promoting responsible pet ownership, permanent identification, and the humane and compassionate treatment of all animals. Monnie's favorite toy today ... Huge thanks to everyone who donates their dog's toys to us and sends us toys off our wish lists. We appreciate them so much. The dogs love them. Dogs like Monnie need them for her anxiety. Having a toy helps make her feel better.

Say hello to Zara! This super sweet little rottie girl is looking for love. She comes from a great home that did not want to give her up, but they are moving out of the country.

She met some of the pack today and is making new friends. Zara grew up with 2 dachshunds so she was worried that these big dogs here were going to eat her. Felony Melanie and Waylon charmed her into relaxing and they have been playing non stop. Zara will be 8 months old on 8/9/26. She is kennel trained, and knows "sit" and "shake". She is a petite little rottie, weighing 59 lbs as of 7/29/26.

More details, pics, and video to follow after she settles in and we get to know her. When she is ready, she will adopted through my rescue, MidSouth Animal Rescue League, located in the Memphis, TN area.

If you have ADOPTED from me before, and are interested, then you know how to reach me and I would be thrilled to hear from you.

In regards to the negative comments I have now deleted ... Look people ... Life happens ... jobs transfer you, incomes change, health changes, people make mistakes, home ownership changes, friends/family back out on taking your dog ... and the list goes on and on. ALL that matters is that Zara is safe now and not one of the many dogs facing euthanasia in a shelter. ALL that matters is that she will go to a properly screened home that fits her needs. The ONLY thing that I am focused on ... is finding Zara the right home.

I am way too busy to answer negative comments or even allow negative thoughts and energy to take any space in my life with these rescued dogs. If you lived in this "life of rescue" for as long as I have, then you would know you have no time to waste your energy on negative comments that don't change the situation. When you don't know all the details, you shouldn't comment. I am not going to post people's personal details ... The fact that I DIDN'T post anything negative about their reason for giving Zara up, should have been your clue.

Most importantly ... YOU should remember that your comments can turn other people away from reaching out to a rescue should they need to rehome their dog. All owner surrenders aren't bad people, people make mistakes, life happens, etc. If someone is giving their dog up, it doesn't matter why at that point because the dog is homeless and it is going to end up in a safe place or not.
