Thank You for Supporting Our Annual Quilt Raffle!
Thank you to everyone who supported our Annual Quilt Raffle this year. Congratulations to our winners – Jason A., Jeanine D., and Ann Marie C. It was once again a great success, and we want to send out a big thank you to the Caring Sharing Quilting Group of RI, Kris T., and Diane L. for donating these beautiful quilts to raise money for PCS. Our winners are sure to enjoy their quilts for many years to come.

PCS Quilt Raffle 2024 Update!
We are excited to share a preview of the three beautiful quilts we have for our Quilt Raffle fundraiser this year. All proceeds from this fundraiser directly benefit the cats and kittens cared for by The Purr-fect Cat Shelter.

PCS Quilt Raffle 2024
The autumn season has arrived with falling leaves, a chill in the air AND the annual PCS Quilt Raffle! We are so excited to have 3 beautiful hand-crafted quilts generously donated by talented quilters to raise funds for the cats and kittens at our shelter. An abundance of love and creativity go into designing these unique quilts to benefit PCS.
The drawing will be held Sunday November 10th, 2024 and winners will be notified by phone. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Meet Dominic. This handsome boy is a Chocolate Point Siamese mix with gorgeous blue eyes. He came to us when his owner, who loved him dearly, could sadly, no longer care for him. Dominic has a loving, laid back personality and has won the hearts of everyone at the shelter. He is playful and wants to be a part of whatever you are doing. He loves being groomed and loves his window perch. Dominic can live with other laid back pets, including rabbits, but no birds for him. He shows too much interest in them. Our boy needs to be in a home where the people will show him a lot of attention. He would do well with kids who can keep him busy. The best ages might be 6yo to teenagers. Younger children need to understand that he doesn’t like to be picked up, but he will definitely follow them around.

Sammy still hasn’t found a forever home, but we do have an update on Sammy. A couple of weeks ago “he” was brought to our Vet for a yearly checkup. Everything was fine, but the Vet kept calling Sammy “she”. The person who had brought Sammy said, you mean he. The Vet checked Sammy’s vet record and sure enough, it listed Sammy as a spayed female! When Sammy came to us we were told she was a male. We all know mistakes happen and now our Sammy is a Samantha!!! Sammy has come such a long way since coming to us. She still has her attitude, but will allow us to interact with her ( grooming, petting, just talking to her) for so much longer. She rolls over and show us her tummy, although we know not to try and rub it. She likes chin rubs and will tolerate them for longer until she gives us the paw. She really has come to trust us and want her to find a home so badly.
If you have held off inquiring about Sammy because you wanted a female cat, well… maybe this story has changed your mind and you might like to give her a chance. She needs to be the only cat. No dogs and no young children. She probably will take a while to warm up and learn to trust, but once she does, she could be a good companion for someone.
