At Buddies & Pals Animal Rescue, our work goes far beyond finding animals their forever homes. Sometimes, it means helping them learn that the world isn’t such a scary place.
One of the most important parts of raising and rehabilitating kittens is desensitization and socialization. Not every kitten comes to us confident, trusting, and ready to be held. Some are fearful of human touch, unfamiliar sounds, new environments, and even the simple act of being picked up.
That’s where the hard work begins.
We spend countless hours gently handling our kittens, introducing them to new experiences, building positive associations, and teaching them that human hands mean comfort, safety, and love. We work at their pace, celebrate the smallest victories, and understand that progress doesn’t happen overnight.
At Buddies & Pals, we believe every animal deserves the chance to feel safe, loved, and understood. We don’t just want to find homes for our kittens. We want to help prepare them for a lifetime of companionship, confidence, and trust.
