This is Egypt. Found and possiy abandoned. He was originally adopted from GCAC in 2017. He's a nine-year-old male black lab. Neutered. So sweet. Knows commands, takes pills like a champ, gets along with all animals, people, and kids.
There were 7 people's numbers on his microchip. Someone named Kristin Gail Johnson in Spartanburg scanned his chip and has desperately tried to find an owner. No responses from numbers called. He was hiding under someone's shed in the Cedar Springs neighborhood in Spartanburg. He has been well fed, so I just felt sure someone must be missing him.
My friend, Chloe Farr, raised $800 to have him fully vetted, and I have that paperwork. He is heartworm negative, but was eaten up with fleas, and his skin is much better but still recovering. He has a hairline fracture on his front left tibia. He is missing teeth on his front right side of his mouth. He's on an antibiotic and pain pill once a day. The vet suspects the wound in the jaw and missing teeth may be bone cancer. He drools a bit out that side. I have not had the cancer dX confirmed.
He has been spoiled in his life (wants to get on the bed, perks up when you have people food but doesn't beg,) but he has clearly also been abused. He is super skittish. He can hear and see well. Catches treats in the air. Hears a cheese wrapper from a mile away. He's house trained. He walks on a leash wonderfully. I love him. I want to keep him, but keeping him separated from my dominant female Saint Bernard is isolating her. It's too stressful for me.
Also, I think his jaw now has an abscess. I can't afford to take him to the vet. Any suggestions? If anyone wants to be a blessing and donate to his soon to be vet bill, please call Cleveland Park East Animal Hospital in Simpsonville to add to my account, or you can venmo -Miner-12, PayPal [email protected], or cash app $prbyajminer. I promise to post receipts and updates! If anyone knows someone willing to take in this sweet boy, message me!
