Little Feet Farm

Little Feet Farm Started in 2018 as a small hobby farm raising bunnies, horses, goats, pigs and chickens. Stay tuned.

We recently moved to Mason, MI (formerly Shawhaven Farm) to expand our services and welcome many to the farm for Spring, Harvest, and Christmas events.

Buddy - End of Watch 8/8/25

We lost a Patriarch today. Buddy has been a trusted protector for many years. Our farm will feel this loss in many ways. His influence on the next generation of protectors will carry on. He’s been slowing down for awhile, but this day has still come too soon. Thanks Buddy for your steady, faithful, friendly presence. Because of him we realized the benefit of a livestock guardian dog and fell in love with the Great Pyrenees breed.

Welcome five new (adopted) members of the feeder class of 2025/26, as we seek to support the kids at the Ingham County Fair.

Each of them is part Hereford, with some dairy breed genetics. They are spending some time in the barn acclimating, before they move into the herd/dormatory. Some may be shown by our kids next year, as ready steer, and others will be a part of a beef share offering.

In an effort to be fully transparent, when that time comes, we will inform whether they are our born/raised Hereford or one of these, which we have not raised from birth.

🌟EDIT: He has found a home!!! 🌟

Very friendly goat looking for a 🏡! He is a wether (castrated male). He was a bottle baby so he’s friendly and easy to handle.

It was one year ago today, that we first heard that Doug and Tami Shaw were looking to the next chapter of life, and would be moving from the Shawhaven Farm. At that time, we know of them, but had not been to the farm. So began a journey. We drove by the farm, didn’t think much of it as it appeared to need a lot of work. Fast forward to early October, when Jon drove by again, and it happened to be their opening day for the fall season. He chatted with Tami and Doug, as they made final preparations. It was then that with several more visits, including a field trip day, that we were actively interested in the property…then on October 30th, we found out it would become our new homestead. With some updates to the home, fence repair, and general cleaning over the winter, it became home in mid-April. Two weeks later, we opened for Spring on the Farm. And the summer has been full of learning, whether it be the new-to-us hay equipment, fences, water lines, or gates. Or moving horses, goats, rabbits, chickens, cats, and dogs…then adding more goats, horses, cats, flock of sheep, and our herd of beef cattle.

We look forward to opening again in late September, with the Corn Maze, Pumpkin Picking, and Fun Valley Games traditions that the community has come to love. Stay tuned.

We are also beginning to schedule Field Trips for the Fall.

As we have shared earlier, we will NOT be continuing any of the haunt events, as these do not fit within our three pillars of Light, Life, and Learn.

Thanks Tami and Doug for entrusting us with your legacy and for the community for your support as we get settled.

Hello all, we have a huge update on the future of the farm.

As we previously posted about, Doug and Tami Shaw have been slowing down and thinking of retiring. Well now it's official and after our fall events this October these farmers are retiring!! And the farm will be for sale through auction.

We hope that whomever the new owners will be would choose to continue the agrotourisim business and remain open to the public, however, as the sale will be through auction there is no telling that at this point.

We're sure there are many questions and thoughts but that's all we have for now.

Be sure to come out this fall for your last chance to visit the Shaw's on the farm and support us one last season!
