When you welcome a new puppy or dog to your family, patience, time, routine and consistency are key!! Whether it’s a puppy or adult, we always recommend keeping the 3/3/3 rule in mind, although some may need more time.

🐾 The 3/3/3 Rule Explained 🐾

➡️ First 3 Days – Decompression

Your puppy is just trying to understand the change.
• May seem shut down, scared, overwhelmed, or quiet
• Might not eat much or may sleep a lot
• Can be anxious, clingy, or unsure
• Accidents are common
👉 This is normal—your dog is processing a huge life change.

➡️ First 3 Weeks – Learning the Routine

Your puppy starts to understand daily life.
• Begins to learn house rules and schedule
• Personality starts to emerge
• May test boundaries
👉 This is when consistency really matters.

➡️ First 3 Months – Feeling at Home

Your dog finally feels safe and settled.
• Trust is built
• True personality shows
• Strong bond forms with you
• Behavior stabilizes

Our gorgeous future super-stud, Moto had a spa day today!!! At 5 months old, he still has a lot of puppy left in him, but we are slowly trusting him more with longer periods between potty breaks! He’s the happiest boy and is going to give his future kiddos some amazing temperaments!! Who else loves his look?!?! 🙋🏼‍♀️😍
