🌞 As if June, sunshine, and warm weather weren’t enough reason to celebrate, we have even more exciting news!

🎉 June is officially FOOD DRIVE MONTH! 🎉

We’re thrilled to be partnering with some amazing local businesses and community supporters throughout the month to fill out Purr Pantry!

🐾 Food drives at Cedar Creek Martinsville during both concert events 🎶
🐾 A silent auction and special event at Brew Link Brewing in Mooresville (formerly Zeydeko’s)
🐾 An adoption event at Pet Supplies Plus - Mooresville, IN in Mooresville

These partnerships help us continue promoting TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), provide resources for pet owners and community cat caretakers, and strengthen the network of support that makes Morgan County such a special place. Every bag of food donated, every item bid on, and every adoption helps us continue creating a safer future for cats while supporting the people who care for them.

Because at the end of the day, we’re not just helping cats—we’re helping the people who help them. ❤️🐱

Stay tuned for event details, wish lists, and ways you can join the fun. June is going to be an incredible month! 🎊🐾

Yesterday, we said goodbye to one of the sweetest souls we’ve ever known—Crammer.

Crammer came to us in December after his owner, who loved him dearly, was no longer able to care for him due to dementia and having to move into assisted living. She loved him with all her heart for as long as she could. Unfortunately, after leaving her care, Crammer was not shown that same kindness and suffered physical abuse.

For months, we fought alongside Crammer, doing everything we could to get him the veterinary care, comfort, and love he deserved. He showed us every day what resilience looks like. But yesterday, after much consideration and with his quality of life at the forefront, the difficult decision was made to let him rest and end his suffering.

Why do we share stories like Crammer’s?

Because it’s important to remember that behind every rescue, every community cat, and every animal in need is a life that matters. There are still good people out there fighting for them every single day. There are people willing to step in when others walk away. People who believe that every animal deserves compassion, dignity, and a second chance.

Not every story ends the way we hope. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give is peace. But that doesn’t make their journey any less important.

Crammer, you were loved. You mattered. And for the time you were with us, you knew kindness again.

You will not be forgotten.

We’re ending the day feeling a little stressed because we’ve realized just how low our food supply has gotten. We’re sure you’ve probably seen posts like this a lot recently, and we hate having to make one ourselves, but we really could use help right now.

It’s kitten season, and the influx of kittens and cats needing help has been overwhelming. Right now, we are completely out of wet food and down to only 2 bags of dry food with approximately 55 cats and kittens currently in our care — and more continue to come in almost daily.

We know times are hard for everyone, and we know every rescue is struggling right now too. But if anyone is able to spare a few cans of wet food, a bag of dry food, or even simply share this post, we would be incredibly grateful.

These furry little faces depend on us every single day. Thank you for your help to continue keeping them fed, safe, and loved. We couldn’t do it without you! 💙

Another episode of “Why We Do It Wednesday” 🐾

We do it for the kittens born outside who deserve to know love, safety, and a full belly. We do it for the moms trying their best to survive on the streets. We do it so the next generation never has to struggle the way they did.

Every cat has a story. Some heartbreaking, some inspiring, all worth telling. And every single one reminds us why this work matters.

Have a rescue story you’d like to share with us? We would love to hear it. ❤️

Wishing everyone a safe and peaceful Memorial Day.

Foster Friday interrupted by Oreo 🐾

Just in case you’re not one to strongly believe in one door closing and another opening, I present to you Oreo and his new dad. 🖤🤍

After learning that Oreo wasn’t the right fit with his previous adopters, he returned to us. Of course, our hearts hurt for him. But the very same day he came back, we received a call from someone searching for a cat for her father-in-law who lives in assisted living.

He had lost both of his 20-year-old cats in the same week and was absolutely devastated. After losing his wife the year before, those cats were more than pets — they were his companions, his comfort, his sleeping buddies, his playmates, and his best friends.

And then came Oreo.

Sometimes the universe has a funny way of working things out exactly the way it’s supposed to. Watching these two find each other reminds us why we keep going, even through the hard goodbyes. Here’s to new beginnings, healing hearts, and second chances. ❤️

Rumor has it many of you are looking for barn cats but aren’t quite sure where to start… well, this is your lucky day! 🐾

We currently have several barn cat candidates looking for safe places to call home and would love to talk with you about whether a working cat might be the right fit for your property.

While many cats dream of couches and cozy blankets, some cats truly thrive outdoors and prefer the freedom and independence that comes with barn life. These cats still deserve safety, care, full bellies, warm shelter, and people who respect them for exactly who they are. A barn home can give them the best of both worlds — purpose, protection, and a place to belong.

We do require an application, and we’ll be right beside you every step of the way — from acclimating your new barn cats to their environment on day one all the way through release day to help ensure a successful transition.

If you’ve ever considered adding barn cats to your farm, stable, shop, or property, or if you simply have questions about the process, please reach out to us below. We’re happy to help!

A day in the life of a TNR group often starts before sunrise. Traps are set, schedules are coordinated with feeders, and then comes the hardest part — waiting. Sometimes for hours.

When a cat is finally trapped, the work isn’t over. Cats must be transported to a safe location overnight before spay/neuter appointments, while traps still need checked and picked up so no animal is left unsafe overnight.

For everyone who thinks rescue and TNR is all cuddly kittens, rainbows, and Disney moments with cats frolicking around to the Cinderella soundtrack — it’s not.

It’s exhausting.
It’s time consuming.
Sometimes an entire day is spent to safely trap just one cat.

But that one cat matters.

Because every cat fixed means fewer kittens suffering outside, fewer injuries, fewer illnesses, and a better life for the cats already out there. And with every one you catch, you hope many more will follow.

At the end of the day, it’s hard work — but it’s worth it. Some will go back outside and some, like Foley ⬇️, will travel the world one mountain at a time ❤️

🐈HAPPY TAIL 🐈

One year ago, this adorable orange fella was found hiding beneath a pile of water bottles at a local gas station in Mooresville. You all helped name him Wawa! We discovered he had three broken ribs and a broken leg.

Today, one year later, we are beyond happy to say his story has the happiest ending. He has the dream life every abandoned cat deserves — safe, spoiled, and loved unconditionally. Stories like his remind us what compassion, community, and second chances can do. 🧡

Helping animals comes with the good, the bad, and sometimes the heartbreaking. Right now, that’s Crammer. 💔

Crammer came to us extremely underweight and in pain. Since then he’s had X-rays, bloodwork, diet changes, and multiple vet visits trying to figure out what’s going on. He did gain a pound at one point, but sadly has started losing weight again.

We’re heading back to the vet on the 29th for another opinion. He deserves every chance possible.

If you’re able to donate even $1 toward Crammer’s medical care, we’d be incredibly grateful. And if you can’t donate, please just keep him in your thoughts and prayers that we finally get answers for him. 🖤
