I turned “Rune” out with “Glacier” and his daughter “Damsel” 3 days ago, to let his mind come down from controlled breeding, and to just let him be the stud he thinks he should be.

I am always honored that even though his evening routine is to come in out of the pasture to be ridden, he never fails to make me his priority when I come into his view. He leaves his little herd and willingly make his way to me.

Tonight I scratched him all over, told him all the things he loves to hear, did his nightly head holding that he insists on, and gave him the evening off of work.

Such a cool little Jr Stallion ~

P. Mathew is 18 and fairly new to riding. He shows up randomly at the barn to clean stalls and soak up some pony therapy. P.M. has a drive & desire to learn and "Rune" - who challenges him, yet is always willing when encouraged - has been who I’ve been putting him on. Between the 2 of us I don't think the poor boyo has been getting much down time, but is certainly getting lots of wet saddle pads. And honestly, "Rune" is probably happier with the work P.M. expects from him over me. HAHA!

I grabbed this video secretly when I kicked them outside for just some fun riding and bonding time.

I adore that I can trust this spotty boy to always take care of his rider. Great mind, wonderful disposition, and want a to please. Good Boy "Rune"

Rune spent this beautiful March 60+ degree day in the front paddock, and at 11pm - I am not one to waste a free ride back to the barn. Ba****ck, lead rope, halter for the win, even as its windy and he is congenitally night blind.

Being his usual goofy self and always willing to participate in my shenanigans. He wanted my attention as i was doing my usual maid stall cleaning routine.

We are happy to announce that “Rune’s” Colorado Ranger Horse papers are in order and ready to be placed in the mail.

We know he is phenomenal already, but this opportunity to be dual registered to two stock horse registries is the bees knees.
