An unforgettable wedding weekend in Tomales Bay. 🌧️🍂🤍 I had the absolute honor and pleasure of making the guest book for my cousins’ coastal wedding. The rain started to fall as they said “I do” and those raindrops added their signature to the cover, making it even more special.

Hi! 👋🏼 I’m Jamie, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’ve never really shown myself on this account, so here are some things about me:
• I’m a born and raised Northern Nevadan. I think I’ll forever call this place my home.
• My day job is in life insurance administration, and I actually like it!
• If I feel any sort of emotion, I cry about it.
• I’m married to my best friend, Dillon, and being his wife is one of the greatest joys in my life.
• I have a Yorkie named Banjo, and I would go to war for him.
• I started bookbinding in 2021 when I made a journal for my sister prior to her military deployment.
• I’m afraid of chickens, being chased, and car accidents.
• My favorite things include (but are definitely not limited to) my friends and family, plants, really nice stationery, sunshine, going to the movies, coffee, red wine, running, and octopuses.

A couple years ago, I made a journal for a mother and daughter who had an amazing tradition of writing letters back and forth in notebooks and journals, creating a keepsake forever. It brought me so much joy to hear that they filled that journal up and needed a fresh one!
It is truly my pleasure to have a Heks Codex journal continue to be part of their tradition.

For reasons I can’t explain, Taco’s “Puttin’ On The Ritz” gets stuck in my head when I look at this journal. Maybe it’s the black and white making me think of tuxedos and all things ritzy? I dunno but you probably have it stuck in your head now too.

In the process of tweaking the design of my lined paper, I had some extra that goes great when combined with solid or plain paper which lead to this multi use book. You can draw/paint/doodle/collage on the blue and write/plan/daydream on the lined paper.
