Fun story. This week we took a quick trip with a one night stay in a hotel. We have never traveled with a pup before so this was a first for us. Well 3:00 am we get awoken to fire alarms and instructions to not take elevators and use the stairs. I thought I would share some tips to think about incase of an emergency. 1) know where your leash and collars/harness are so you can grab at a moments notice. 2) have an evacuation plan. Can your dog walk quickly down 13 flights of stairs? Will you carry them? Etc. 3) who will be in charge of per. These things made our evac so much more smoothly. I have also thought about these stickers for our home before but never followed through. Just ordered some today. If you want to be over the top prepared like I am. I actually have a bug out bag at home I can grab for our pups. Includes extra leash, water bowls, an outdoor tie, food, and a few other things. And printed off list of pet friendly hotels with printed directions in case of no internet. Just some food for thought. If you have any tips to add I would love to hear them!!! Share in the comments. (Also there thankfully wasn’t a fire but the whole building did evacuate for about 20 mins or so)
