"Hey, human moms and dads—here’s what happens to my paws when you take me out in the blazing sun ☀️ and the pavement is scorching! I sweat through my paws, and when it's this hot, I can't cool off because my paws are burning. Skipping a walk won’t hurt me—let me chill inside and take me out once the sun goes down." 🐾

If you spot someone walking their dog on hot pavement, kindly suggest they try it barefoot for the rest of the way. They might just understand how much it hurts.

Don't forget about your pets this week as early season hot temperatures develop. Animals can die of heatstroke within 15 minutes, and cracking the car windows doesn’t help. NEVER leave your pets in parked vehicles.

As we enter the hot months, remember that sidewalks and roads are often too hot for your pet's little fee! It's best to walk your pet in the morning or late evening to avoid burning their paws.
