Today is a beautiful reminder of hope, renewal, and second chances… and that’s exactly what rescue is all about.

Every wagging tail, every soft nuzzle, every life saved—each one is a little piece of that hope in action.

Some of these babies are still waiting for their “new beginning.” So while you’re spending today with family, friends, and maybe even a few Easter treats… don’t forget about the ones still waiting for a home of their own.

Because the greatest gift we can give them isn’t in a basket… it’s love, safety, and a forever family.

He is risen… and hope is alive 🤍

This is what support looks like 🤍

Isabella Silva Alves came into our lives through adoption… but she became so much more than that.

She fostered Kirby, who was a dog who had been shot in the chest with buckshot, leaving over a hundred wounds. She showed up for him and helped him get to the life he deserved. And that’s just one piece of who she is.

She gives without being asked.
She supports without needing recognition.
She understands what it takes to do this work..the time, the cost, the emotional weight. We are so incredibly grateful for her and beyond blessed to have her continual support. AND we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the 7, 40lb bags of Diamond Puppy food she sent to us.

But let’s take a look at something..

We recently made a post asking for help whether that was a small donation or even an item off our Amazon list.

Not a single dollar or donation came in.

And while Isabella stepped in and sent us puppy food (something we are so thankful for), the reality is… one person cannot carry what it takes to keep a rescue running.

A rescue cannot exist without support.
Not just donations, though those are critical.

We need:
• fosters (even short-term)
• volunteers
• donations
• people willing to step in, not just reach out
• invite your FB friends to follow our page, share our post, we need visibility

Every day, we are flooded with messages asking for help: Dogs being surrendered, needing placement with nowhere to go.

And we want to say YES! We do say yes… as much as we possibly can. And if we can’t say YES we will guide them to find the help they need.

But the raw truth is we cannot pour from an empty cup. We cannot take in dogs if we don’t have the support to care for them.

A RESCUE IS NOT ENDLESS SPACE.
It is not unlimited resources.
It is not a solution without community behind it.

This is your moment to be part of the answer, please..

A law that would authorize county and municipal animal control officers to inspect and enforce certain minimum care for dogs tethered outside is currently awaiting a committee vote in the Alabama House.
