The Southern Illinois Beard and Mustache Enthusiasts Club is a non-profit social club promoting beards, mustaches, and the culture around growing awesome facial hair. One thing we are asked often is "What do you guys do?" We are a group of bearded gentleman who get together monthly and meet to discuss beards, enjoy a few adult beverages, and fund raise for the community. We host two charity events
every year, we host the SIBME Beard and Mustache Contest in the spring, and we have a tent at the Big Muddy Monster Brewfest where we setup our mustache teeter totter and sell mustache rides.We also try to attend the events of other bearding groups in the area. The proceeds from our outings are donated to local charities such as Gumdrops a local organization who helps children and Murphysboro dog park and St. We have a $30 annual club dues, we decided to do this so we can have an operating budget to purchase coozies, stickers and other items to be sold at our events.
