New 65lb bales of western alfalfa and 3x3x8 700lb big squares of orchard/brome mix from Wyoming are here!
Brome is very similar to orchardgrass. These are running about 70-80% og and 30-20% brome. Unfortunately I don't have a video of an open one because I don't need one yet so I'll probably be a week or two before I have one open but I did grab a handful out of one. The other video is the first alfalfa bale that I opened. It is super pretty with a ton of leaf but not so much that you can't pull flakes.

I have fertilized peacock eggs in my incubator that are due to hatch around June 4th for sale. You will have to figure out the best way to transport them to get them safely into your own incubator or under a broody hen. For this reason I can't guarantee they will hatch but I have had a 100% hatch rate the last 2 years. $25 ea.

Beautiful North Dakota alfalfa is here! Took me awhile to find some worth shipping in. Tons of leaf, and really fine stems. My picky horses killed it! Solid 55-60lb bales. $20 ea. Only 250 bales available to sell.

Cross your fingers we'll have a new load of nice western alfalfa here this weekend..
Wasn't going to get anymore until 2025 crop was up, but I'm always nervous about 1st cutting since it tends to be stemmier. I usually wait for 2nd, but my phone has been ringing off the hook for alfalfa. I think I found some really nice 2024 4th cutting in North Dakota . Will be the furthest I've ever shipped from. Just waiting for quote from shipper...

Alfalfa is here! Very pretty hay!
Beautiful 2024 Colorado Alfalfa.
2nd and 3rd cut. Beautiful green and leafy. Lighting in the barn doesn’t do it justice. All our hay is guaranteed against mold, weeds etc, and even platability.

3x3x8 850lb bales $235 ea.

2 string 55-60lb tight hefty square bales $20 ea. They are in 21 bale bundles, but no minimum required.

We have 1 large bale and 1 bundle that appear to have been bottom of a stack to sell discounted. Bad areas only go in a couple of inches and can easily pulled away for feeding. The big square is $200 and the bundle (you must take the whole bundle) is $336.

New load of alfalfa from Colorado is being loaded and should be here this weekend! Small squares and a handful of big squares will be available.
Pricing will be determined when I get final bill. I can release some of my small squares now if you need any before the storm hits tomorrow.

Well, I wasn't going to order any more alfalfa until the 2025 crops were in but my phone has been ringing off the hook for it and I'm even going though my personal stash faster than I usually do. Assuming due to the early cold weather, the hurricane and the wild fires in WY, there is more demand than supply. I finally found some that looks worth bring in. Hopefully will have it here shortly after Christmas. Bundles and 3x3x8s. Price will be finalized once delivered.
