A small green conure/parrot flew into our apmt in NYC on Saturday, August 29.
The bird is safe, indoors, and being cared for. We are trying to reunite it with its owner.
If you believe this is your bird, please reply with:
- Photos of your bird from before it went missing
- Its name
- Where and when it went missing
- Any identifying features
Proof of ownership will be required before the bird is returned.
Please reach out if you recognize it or know someone who recently lost a conure."

🐾 Description: "Small green-cheeked conure (small parrot) with predominantly green feathers, a dark gray/brown head, gray scalloped chest, white rings around the eyes, blue wing feathers, and a long reddish-maroon tail. Very tame and comfortable around people. Found in NYC on August 29, 2026."

💬 Finder's Message: "I exited the A from the 177th station and this little guy was sniffing the trash bags 10:15pm. When I approached, the dog barked and slid between the gates of the alleyway. Watched me from a distance for a good 10 minutes, no owner was around. I tried to call the dog but wouldn’t approach me. Seemed to be stress panting, did not appear injured and was clean. "
