Our fifth puppy to fly the coop was the handsome and playful Chili Powder! Natasha VanDusen flew into MCI to pick up Chili and take him back to Alaska with her this past Sunday. I am thrilled for the both of them and as hard as having 3 of the babies leave in 3 days was, I had such peace about the placement decision I made for Chili. Natasha has made it well known how loved her new buddy is already and has goals in trialing him in obedience and rally. She has decided his call name will be Aegon.

Our trip to Lexington was also the perfect opportunity to unite Cinnamon with his new people. Cinnamon (now known as “Knox”) was the firstborn puppy from the litter and has always had a larger than life personality and presence. Allison and Lance DeLong are among the kindest people I have gotten to know over the years and it was fabulous to finally meet Allison (and her sister Laura) in person! Knox will be a well loved pet and Allison and Lance’s chance to get their feet wet in the dog show world. Knox evaluated high as a show prospect and will be co-owned by Dockside and the DeLongs! He will also grow up alongside Titus’ littermate brother, Ruckus, and the DeLongs other Australian Shepherd, Meredith. Great things ahead!

Our third Sugar N Spice puppy to find their new humans was the beautiful and sweet-as-can-be, Paprika. Crystal Weaver and her family have named her “Willow” and traveled to Lexington over the weekend to pick her up. Willow will get to grow up alongside her 3 human siblings, Australian Shepherd brother, Merlin (a Titus son), and a menagerie of farm animals in West Virginia! I am honored to have placed this sweetie with the perfect fit for her.

Our second placement last weekend was the adorable Poppyseed! I am excited to announce that a fabulous co-worker and her family brought this sweet girl home to Manhattan, KS. She is now known as “Poppy” and is a loved pet owned by Tommy & Anna Sanders as well as their son, Roman, and kitty sibling.

Thrilled to announce one of our placements from last weekend! Nutmeg evaluated as one of our top show prospects and is now known as “Fisher”, co-owned with Alex & Lisa Beal in Missouri! He will get to trial in agility, play in conformation, and be best friend to his human sibling, Forrest, as well as Lisa and Alex’s other beloved animals - an Australian Shepherd brother, kitty siblings, and horse.

Im behind on pictures! These photos of the “Sugar N Spice” litter were taken at just over 6 weeks old. Between the rain and wiggly happy babies last weeks photos were quite a struggle (ya girl did the best she could)! Puppies have been eating dry Pro Plan 30/20, religiously using their litter, and growing like weeds. They have had their nails trimmed every week since birth and have had weekly bath and blow dry sessions since they turned 4 weeks old. My heart is so full. While I am full of excitement for their new families, as we grow nearer to their time to leave my heart aches. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect first litter.
We may have room on our list for a few more homes 👀🏠 pending 8 week evaluations.
