Physical rehabilitation isn’t always about helping a pet recover from surgery. Sometimes, it’s about improving or maintaining comfort and mobility, just like in JJ’s case.

JJ was dealing with chronic back and neck pain along with arthritis. In the first video, you can see stiffness in his hind end, with shorter, more guarded steps in his rear legs.

In the most recent video, JJ is noticeably more comfortable. His range of motion has improved, and he’s taking longer, more balanced steps with his hind end.

The changes may be subtle, but for JJ, they’ve made a meaningful difference and have translated into years of improved mobility and better-managed pain.

Meet Roe!

Roe is a sweet 5-month-old mixed breed puppy who came to see Dr. Seeba on emergency after her mom noticed she was not feeling like herself. Earlier in the week, Roe had gotten into some no show socks. Although she vomited up two of them at home, she continued to have vomiting episodes, which was concerning.

Dr. Seeba recommended X-rays, which showed a fabric like foreign body in Roe’s small intestines. Because intestinal blockages can quickly become serious, Roe was transferred to Dr. Aman for surgery.

During surgery, the sock was successfully removed. There was a small area of damaged intestinal tissue where the sock had been lodged, so that section was carefully removed and the healthy ends were reconnected to allow normal function to return.

Roe’s surgery went very well, and she recovered smoothly in the hospital. Once she was stable and comfortable, she was able to go home to continue healing.

We are so glad Roe is feeling better and wish her the best in her recovery!

Odin was getting into the holiday spirit with our ICU assistant Lyle while he was here for his surgery earlier this week!

He underwent a Total Ear Canal Ablation with Dr. Trevor after a mass was found in his right ear. His surgery went well and he was able to go home a couple of days later.

We wish this boy the happiest of holidays and swift recovery!
