All available dogs are not "puppies," but i chose the name because many of us call our dogs our 'pups' regardless of the age. Please don't write off adult dogs or even Seniors - they make fantastic, loyal, lovin

g pets. And the wonderful thing about shelters and rescues is - they really help you choose the perfect dog for you, or you and your family. They do sometimes have fees, but not nearly the cost of buying a puppy from a breeder or store, and they also do not let a dog leave them until they are sure it is family- and adoption-ready. My goal is to bring as many breed-specific rescue site links to this page as i can. I understand that sometimes people really DO want a certain kind of dog, and many types of dogs have their own rescue pages. I want to help the dogs find homes, and help you find your pet.
