🐴 Therapy Geldings Wanted

JoyRide Center is looking to add one or more calm, kind, and steady geldings to our therapeutic riding program in Magnolia, TX. Ideal horses will be between 14 and 18 hands, ages 6 to late teens, and have gentle, dependable temperaments suitable for riders of all abilities.

We’re looking for horses that:
• Are easy to catch, tie, lead, and lunge
• Pick up feet calmly (no meds or stocks)
• Tolerate full-body touch from head to hooves
• Stand quietly for mounting
• Load and trailer well
• Get along with other horses
• Are non-gaited and trained at the walk/trot/canter
• Have more “whoa” than “go”

We’re open to minor or managed health needs, but cannot accept horses with major hoof or joint issues.

Are you a certified PATH Intl. CTRI and ESMHL instructor passionate about making a difference? We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join our team in part-time or full-time roles to guide therapeutic riding and equine-assisted learning programs.

At JoyRide, you’ll work alongside amazing horses, volunteers, and riders of all ages and abilities — creating moments of growth, confidence, and joy every day.

Your role will include:
✨ Leading structured, engaging lessons tailored to each rider’s unique needs
✨ Ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone involved — horses, riders, and volunteers alike
✨ Coaching and supporting volunteers to foster a positive, collaborative environment
✨ Partnering with our Equine Programs Manager to provide excellent horse care and program delivery

If you have hands-on horse experience, current CPR/First Aid certification (or are willing to obtain it), and a heart for service, this could be the perfect place for you!
