We’ve gained a lot of followers this past week, which means lots of availability messages!
We are currently starting up with Netherlands! We have manage 2 live litters just for this year🫠 (if you know Netherlands you know they are HARD to breed) that being said, we will not often have availablity! I’m still strictly selling to show/brood potential homes only, I do not breed for pets nor do I intend to breed multiple litters to have availability to sell for pets. We selectively breed when we are in need for personal herd growth & show prospects! I will rarely offer a pet if it’s necessary! But very rarely. We are a strong culling rabbitry. For example: Recently we had a doe kit pop up with a strange excess skin hang over her vagina/anus, didn’t effect her quality of life but effect her breeding/showing, therefor she was pet homed! Now if we have kits pop up pet quality that can be bred we will choose the cull route because let’s face it honesty doesn’t exist in this world! I do have some color varieties that carry Harli which isn’t “clean” in the show world and will offer these quality worthy kits to color breeding homes that are strictly working to make the variety in Netherlands to SOP in hopes one day ARBA will recognize it as a showable color (hopefully soon since mini Rex just got recognized to be shown as brindle😅) if your breeding to just breed & not actively working on bettering a variety in the breed I will refuse a sell!
On another note, this page is mainly to post our success with Netherlands! I use to be a hobby breeder but realized it wasn’t worth bringing in so many kits to sell just for them to be dump/flipped later and so many sales back out, waste of meet times, etc! I hope this doesn’t sound so harsh to my new followers😊 I’m generally a nice breeder and will help/give any advice I can or send you to someone who may know a little better as I’ve only personally shown once and learning myself in hopes one day when my daughters are older they will enjoy it and start themselves & I can be fully confident I know enough & succeeded enough in the breed to help them thrive in the show world 🫶🏼
Posted: is an example of a growth chart im keeping up with on one of my grow out bucks for potential show & hopes to make a successful herd buck! Which will be kept soon with our partnered rabbitry SS Rabbitry who is my sister🥰 (I’m keeping his brother for my personal barn)
