Macy showed up to have her sutures removed in style, rocking the cutest pink helmet and goggle combo! 💖😎

But this fashionable look serves a much more important purpose than just turning heads. Macy recently underwent enucleation (surgical removal of both eyes) after battling keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), or “dry eye,” which led to severe corneal ulcers and ruptured corneas.

Thanks to the quick action of her family and our emergency team, Macy is now healing beautifully! Her helmet and goggles help keep her safe as she learns to navigate her new world without sight, bumping into things is a lot less scary (and a lot more adorable) when you’re this well protected.

We’re so proud of how far she’s come, and how fabulous she looks doing it! 💕🐾 Way to go, Macy!

🐶💦 Thank you to everyone who joined us last Sunday at Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital for their Dog Wash Carnival! We had an amazing time meeting new friends (two- and four-legged 🐕) and catching up with familiar faces. 💛

Our shell-ebrities 🐢 Gooch and Matilda loved making new friends, even if a few pups were a little suspicious of the "walking rocks" 😂

👏 A HUGE shoutout to Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital and everyone who came out, just a little under $1,000 was raised for Dane County Humane Society! WAY TO GO!! 🐾🎉

This boy is all smiles and so happy to be feeling better and getting back to all the adventures! 💕

A little over a month ago, Grady just wasn’t acting like himself. His human grew increasingly concerned and brought him into our hospital for emergency care, and thankfully, she did. Grady was diagnosed with Gastric Dilatation and Volvulus (GDV).

Gastric Dilatation and Volvulus (GDV), commonly known as bloat, is a serious and life-threatening condition in dogs. It occurs when the stomach fills with gas and twists, cutting off blood flow and potentially damaging vital organs.

Thanks to Grady's human knowing him so well, quick action, emergency surgery, and lots of love and rest, Grady is back on all 4 paws and adventuring with his favorite person again! 🐾✨
