We are excited to tell you we will be putting on a event called " Meet the shepherds ". We are looking at two different locations right now so we can do one near Greenbay and one near milwaukee. The reason for this event and what it will be about is for you to meet shepherds and learn about them. Maybe you had a bad experience with a shepherd before? Maybe you have been told things about shepherds that make you nervous to get one? Maybe you want to learn more about the breed and see if it's the right breed for you? We want you to see first hand and not go based off what you have been told or seen on the internet.

This is not a adoption event but I am sure we will have some adoptable dogs at the event to show case the breed. We want people to see how amaizng this breed is and what they are truly like. We want you to see that yes you can have a protective shepherd yet also be a friendly shepherd. We want you to see how smart they are ( sometimes to smart haha). We want you to see how loyal and loving they are. We will talk to you about the breed/training. We want you to see that although that shepherd you met years ago who wasent friendly isn't who they are. If you train them and give them what they need they are the best dog.

So watch for updates on this event and come out to learn more about the breed and meet some dogs who show case the breed very well with what a shepherd should be like.

We are offering our next Fresh Start class starting Sunday June 1st at 10:00am at Laughing Dogs Daycare in Lake Mills This will be a 5 week course (6 actual weeks because we won’t hold a class 4th of July weekend) designed for dogs that are too old for puppy classes that need basic obedience. This is a great class for rescue and shelter dogs that need foundational work. We focus on basic commands with a big emphasis on your relationship with your dog. Go to cruciblek9.com and fill out the registration form before we fill up.

At Crucible K9 we strongly believe in a customized approach to dog training. Every dog is different. They have all had different life experiences, different genetics and your life with them is not the same as your neighbors would be.

Juno had her first session this past Saturday. Both her and her owners are excited to start their journey to make Juno a well rounded dog. When we do in home puppy sessions we want to make training fun. Not only do I show them how to free shape behaviors, but also how to use play and engagement in their everyday life. Keep up the good work Juno

We are almost to the end of our 5 week fresh start class. All the dogs are doing beautifully. Some of the dogs came to class a bit reactive to other dogs, but with hard work from the owners we were able to take the barriers down today. We also had 2 guest speakers today. Rebecca from Ashley's Pampered Pets talked to the group about grooming and cooperative care and Heidi from Canine Enrichment Center explained the importance of play when bonding with your dog. I am so proud of how far these dogs have come. We also got a special visit from Rebecca’s dog and a Crucible K9 favorite, Remi
