Honey has also recently started training with us, and although she already knew all of her basic commands, she just needed some fine tuning of them and a solid foundation of her “down and stay” command while there’s no one in front of her to where she knows not to cross that boundary.

Place, down, stay NO MATTER WHAT. 👏🏽👏🏽

Good work Badger! This guy was one that actually bit me the day of drop off. He lunged on leash while owners were standing holding him just causally talking, I turned and walked away and he reacted.

But that didn’t stop us. We knew a lot of his actions were related to some genetics but he also knew he was in control and stronger.

So for several weeks we have worked on gaining leadership and getting him solid in a controlled environment with distractions. People walking around him or dogs in the play yard would cause him to take charge…but look at him now. 👏🏽🙌🏽

This little fella has settled into boot camp training well! Even if he did try to bite me when mom handed off the leash. We are best friends now.😂

His mom says when he paws at you like this, it means he likes you and wants loving. 🥰

Can’t believe this is the same one several trainers said he HAD to be on a muzzle the whole time, and one said come get your dog, we can’t do anything with him. 😔

Toby just needed patience, a calm environment and time to see that not all humans are bad. ❤️

We’re excited to officially welcome Emma to the Rustic K9 Lodge team! 🤎

Emma is a dog mom to several pups of her own, so caring for four-legged family members comes naturally to her. When she’s not loving on the dogs, she also enjoys spending time with the horses here on the farm. 🐶🐴

She’s dedicated to helping us keep every pup happy, safe, loved, and comfortable while also making sure our kennels stay clean and welcoming.

We’re so thankful to have another set of caring hands joining our growing team. Help us give Emma a warm welcome! 🐾🤎

Expectation vs reality 😂

Oh Maci! This girl had to be carried into her kennel by her owner the day of drop off. Literally. They said she’s scared of everything…after some settling in and lots of one on one time-I think it’s safe to say she’s fully come out of her shell! 🐶
