Good Morning!
We got some good news! Dog Grooming is considered a “salon” so we are in the 2nd phase to open!!
The bad news, is we don’t have a date yet. If all goes well with phase 1 and the COVID #’s don’t spike, phase 2 will begin, in about three weeks.
Since we do not have a date yet, we are still not scheduling appointments. When we do get a date, the customers who had already scheduled appointments that were cancelled because of quarantine, will get scheduled first. Then, we will schedule all others.
We know so many of you need your pups groomed and we will get you in, as soon as we possibly can!
We are crossing our fingers, we’ll get back to work and see you all in 3 weeks! Please give your pups a hug from us, they have been VERY missed! ❤️🐾

Proper Brushing And Combing Techniques

We miss you all and hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
Since we still don’t know when we will be re-opening, I have posted a video on how to properly brush your pups! Line brushing and getting all the way down to the skin, is so important for the dogs that get easily matted. I recommend a slicker brush and a metal comb, that you can find at most pet stores or Amazon. If you are using a de-matting tool, PLEASE be extremely careful. They are usually sharp and cutting your dog is a possibility. While brushing, always be careful around the eyes. Give treats and make the brushing experience as positive as possible. If you have two people, one treating, holding and praising your pup, it usually makes things easier. When you are all done, TONS of praise and some playtime, as a reward.

In an effort to keep our community safe, Muddy Paws will unfortunately be closed until further notice. This was not an easy decision, for any of us. If you already have an existing appointment during our closure, you should be getting a phone call. We will be rescheduling all of our customers, for as soon as we re-open. We will have updates on here, to let you all know, when our first day back will be.
Thank you all for understanding and for your continued support. We WILL get through this. We cannot wait to get back to work, to see you and your pups!

This Weekend!

We're having our Grand Opening for Smart Dog Daycare this Saturday and Sunday June 1st and 2nd from 10am to 2pm. Come down and take a tour of our facility and get half day dog daycare for $10. Dog Daycare will be open from 8am to 4pm. Free dog temperament testing. Please bring proof of current vaccinations.
Also get $5 dog nail trims next door at Muddy Paws Grooming. Tours of the facility will be held every hour. Come and join the fun and celebrate our Official Grand Opening.

We are still at our old location on Mukilteo Speedway grooming Mon-Fri but will be at our new location on Monday the 19th!! Finally!! It has taken longer then expected, to get the new space ready.

On Friday Nov. 3rd the retail portion of Muddy Paws will be closing. As most of you know, Nancy the owner had an Aortic Dissection and minor Stroke in May. She is doing amazing and is pretty much 100% better, after being extremely close to death. With that being said, she is ready to retire and enjoy life! Our grooming will be open longer, until our new space is done being remodeled! In December our grooming is moving too:

We will have A LOT more space and will be adding:
-Small/Senior dog daycare (only 3-5 dogs per day, so they receive a lot of one on one attention and care)
-Training Classes
-Play and groom
-Rental space for doggie Birthday parties

FOUND CAT.
The kitty was found in the back ally, behind Albertsons on the Mukilteo Speedway. She (we think it's a girl) jumped out of the dumpster and ran over to eat the cat food I was feeding our feral kitties, that live in the woods. She's extremely hungry, wet and cold. No microchip, we did get her scanned. She does have a collar but no tag. PLEASE SHARE!

Does this sweet boy look familiar to any of you? He was found by a friend of ours. Here is what she said: Hey guys, if anyone recognizes this dog please message me. I've had him for over 24 hours, already had him scanned and only got his name (Beau) and his owners name (Alexus). Found in Bothell by my house near Cedar Wood Elementary. Good boy, house broken and very obedient!

Every 6 weeks our groomer goes to a low income mobile home park for seniors and does low cost nail trims on dogs and cats. Kelsey LOVES being able to give back to the community and seeing all the new friends she has made! If you, or anyone you know also lives in that type of housing and could benefit from the nail trim service, please let me know!

☆ Muddy Paws has a new groomer!! ☆
Victoria has been grooming dogs/cats for over 18yrs. She was even one of Kelsey's (the groomer we have now) trainers when she was just learning how to groom, over 10yrs. ago! Victoria's kind soul, positive dog training methods and grooming experience, makes her the perfect fit! We are SO excited to have her join the Muddy Paws Family! With that being said, we are no longer booked out until February!
