We dump, scrub and refill water troughs every weekend. But that only does so much. I used to pressure wash water troughs every 2-3 months. But haven’t had a working pressure available to use for a while. Today the hubby borrowed the pressure washer water truck from his work. All water troughs (except the brand new one) got washed, hay feeder troughs. Everything is nice and clean for winter.

Next to buy is a decent pressure washer!

Tootsie had her very first date tonight. Mouse was happy to es**rt her.

Pregnancy test as early as 11/21. Would be due 3/6/27.

1 doe left.

Here’s some photos we took.

The only issue I had is they didn’t have a paper map of the zoo. You could take a photos or scan the QR code on your phone. Made it harder for the girls to track their progress.

Gingersnap was in full standing heat yesterday. Though she allowed Mouse to breed her Saturday, yesterday’s attitude was completely different.

We take 2-3 trips a year to visit family and friends Washington and California. We take short day trips to Idaho usually 2-4 times a year, to pick up meat chicks. Why pay for shipping when it’s a 5 hour drive there and we get to stop at fruit stands.

But today trip is for the girls! It’s a family day and we’re doing something the girls have asked to do for the last few years.

We’re traveling to Sacramento to spend the day at the zoo.

Checked does again tonight. Duchess had a date with Mouse.

A friend got an ultrasound machine and wants to practice, I of course said absolutely. We’ll pregnancy test with an ultrasound and if need to confirm with a blood test.

Today started breeding season.

Sakura and Taffy were all in heat. They got a date with the boys.

We will draw blood for a pregnancy check on 11/13 and will know the following week.

If they took they’ll be due February 26, 2027.

Breeding season is right around the corner. We’re excited for our pairings this year.

First things first is herd health care!

This weekend we’ll be looking over the herd, and doing our pre breeding care on top of the monthly care we do.

Plans are for late March/early April kids.

Had a busy day yesterday!Canned my own Spaghetti Sauce. Made 15 quarts and 1 pint. Packaged 24 ears of corn into 6 meals...

Had a busy day yesterday!

Canned my own Spaghetti Sauce. Made 15 quarts and 1 pint.

Packaged 24 ears of corn into 6 meals.

Packaged 5 lbs of ground pork and 4 lbs of ground turkey.

2 meals of Pork Chops, 1 crockpot meal

Today’s plans:

Spiced Peach Cinnamon Rolls
Peach Jam
Peach Cobbler
Pasta Salad with chicken/apples and grapes

Women and girls can do anything they set their minds too.

Yesterday we were feeding 21 meat birds. Today mom and I prepped them to feed us. Tomorrow we’ll package them up.
