Everyone welcome Freya 🍒 to MN Equestrian 🐴❤️

Her mom, Clarissa, has been a self-proclaimed MN Equestrian “groupie” since the very beginning — and after years of friendship, cheering from the sidelines, and being part of the journey, she finally took the big leap into first-time horse ownership with Freya 🍒.

Freya 🍒 is a spunky red roan grade Quarter Horse mare who came through the CSU ASPCA Right Horse Program, and she is already making herself right at home. She’s smart, sweet, snuggly, and definitely opinionated… but that’s exactly how we like our mares around here. 😉

We are so excited to watch this team grow together and see what they accomplish. At the end of the day, ribbons and goals are great — but the most important thing is building a good partnership with each other, and these two are already checking that box on day one. 🤍

One month. That’s it. 🐴✨

The difference between April 4th and May 4th with Chicken 🐓 and Molly is so special to see — and it didn’t happen by accident. Molly has shown up for this horse every single day, put in the work, trusted the process, and stayed committed even on the hard days.

And Chicken 🐓? He continues to prove what an incredible horse he is. 💛

Growth like this is why we do it. Not perfection overnight — just consistent effort, good horses, and people willing to keep trying. So proud of this team and so excited to see where they keep going from here.

After this weekend, we have so many people to thank.

Huge thank you to Riley and Maverick 💙 for taking on the responsibility of setup and tear down. There may have been a few tense moments along the way, but the reality is it absolutely would not have gotten done without them! 😂

Thank you to all of the family and friends who came out to support our riders. I was blown away by how many MN Equestrian students showed up to watch, learn, and cheer everyone on. We cannot wait for each of you to get your own time in the show pen! ✨

And to the families behind every rider — thank you. There is truly nothing that gives me more “all the feels” than watching loved ones beam with pride over what these riders accomplish. The support behind the scenes matters more than you know. ♥️

Lastly, thank you to MN Equestrian’s social media manager, Reagan! Without you, we would have no content or photographic evidence of a weekend that meant so much to so many people… and the Charles Owen helmet definitely would not have arrived in time 😂

Charlie 🤪 absolutely SHOWED UP at this horse show in every possible way! 🐴✨

From lead line to walk/jog, amateur to open classes, this guy did it all — and did it with the kind, willing attitude everyone dreams of in a horse. Huge credit to all of his riders for their great rides throughout the weekend, but especially to Charlie 🤪 himself for being such an incredible team player and partner. 💛

We are also incredibly proud of Charlie’s owner, Sydney, and how far she has come this winter. Watching her confidence and riding continue to grow has been so rewarding, and everyone at MN Equestrian is excited to keep cheering this team on.

We can’t wait to watch Charlie 🤪 and Sydney continue to shine at the Arabian Horse Association Region 6 Championship Show this June! ✨

Caria put in some SERIOUS work to show up prepared for this horse show — and it paid off in the best way! 🐴✨

One of our biggest goals going into the weekend was to ride without holding onto the saddle horn… and by golly, she did it! Watching Caria’s confidence grow both in and out of the saddle has been so rewarding, and she should be incredibly proud of herself for stepping up to the challenge. 💛

Her determination, positive attitude, and willingness to keep trying are what make moments like this so special. And of course, an accomplishment this important deserved a celebratory spaghetti dinner afterward 🍝😂

Alana made her return to the show pen after a bit of a hiatus, and we were so happy to have her back! 🐴✨

She did a great job navigating her own horse, Joey 🦘, as he settled back into show horse life, then piloted Charlie 🤪 through a handful of classes — including a win in the Walk/Trot Ranch Rail! 🏆

Great riding, great attitude, and a really fun weekend for this team 💛

Chicken 🐓 handled his first horse show like only Señor Pollo could! 😂🐴

This guy held his own in the Open Hunter classes with Melanie and then stepped into the pen for owner Molly like a seasoned show horse. After being with MN Equestrian for less than 3 months, Chicken 🐓 and Molly made us incredibly proud.

Molly is also a huge inspiration for horse show moms everywhere. She’s balancing showing her horse while also being a first-time mom to a baby — and somehow handling it all like it’s easy. If only it were actually as easy as she makes it look! 💛

We can’t wait to see where this team goes from here! ✨

Starting off our show shoutouts!! 🐴✨

Margie & Scout 😎 had such a great weekend at the horse show! We couldn’t be more proud of how much this partnership has grown over the last year.

Scout 😎 has spent most of his life in places without ceilings, so showing fully indoors was a big adjustment for him — but he handled it like a champ. Margie has put in countless hours in the saddle, and all of that hard work paid off with a win in her equitation class! 🏆

As if that wasn’t enough, the very next weekend these two headed out on their first off-property trail ride together. What can’t this team do?

So proud of these two and excited to keep watching them grow together! 💛

Closing the book on a super successful show weekend for the MN Equestrian team 🐴✨

I couldn’t be more proud of all the horses and riders that showed up — so many first shows, and first ones back in a while, across the board. Everyone stepped up, learned, and gave it their all.

Feeling incredibly grateful for this group of clients and this team. I truly never imagined I’d be here, and I feel so lucky that this gets to be my job every day. 🤍

We’ll do a deeper dive into everyone and how they did later this week, but for now — a quick shoutout to the whole crew before everyone (horses included) gets some well-deserved rest. 💛
