Our Heel Stay Play family said goodbye to sweet Charlie yesterday, and our hearts are heavier than words can express.

Charlie was so much more than just a dog. As a dignified Weimaraner, he carried himself with grace and quiet wisdom. He loved nothing more than curling up on the couch with his family—except maybe a long walk through the neighborhood, taking in the world with that gentle, thoughtful gaze.

Charlie wasn’t just the smartest boy—he was the goodest boy. He lovingly taught his younger brothers what it meant to be part of a family: how to listen, how to love, how to belong. He was their teacher, their guide, and the true heart and soul of his home.

His family will miss him beyond measure—and so will we.
We love you, Charlie. Always

In addition to having family members who battled colon cancer, Juli is a Crohn's warrior, diagnosed with a severe, life-threatening case of Crohn's disease in 2020. Since then, she has taken the time to learn more about additional risks associated with GI diseases and cancers, including the increased risk to developing colon cancer. Juli is a vocal advocate for cancer screenings, proactive medical care, and being mindful of early warning signs that often get overlooked.
