Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats TNR's cats and rescues undersocialized kittens in LA

Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats socializes feral kittens, taking hissy little babies and turning them into purring little lap cats. We believe in force love and provide a cage free environment and one-on-one attention to each feral kitten. Through physical exercises and delicious food bribes, Charm School volunteer teachers earn the trust and love of the kittens, and bring them to the

understanding that there is a wonderful human home waiting to give them the love and security they deserve. Upon graduation, these kittens continue to blossom in their new homes growing into the most wonderful house cats a family could desire.

Petunia is finally ready for commencement!

Her thesis? That a kitten can go through mange, conquer calicivirus, and still grow up to be the life of the party. Her foster describes her as sweet, energetic, and endlessly curious. We’d describe her as the kid in class who finishes her work early and then starts climbing the bookshelves.

This weekend, Petunia will be interviewing prospective forever families at our adoption event. Applications accepted in the form of chin scratches and lifelong commitment. 🎓

When Georgie was found a week ago, she was all alone in the middle of a street.

At approximately 4 weeks old, she should have been safely tucked away with her mom and littermates. Instead, she was underweight, undersized, suffering from an upper respiratory infection, and fighting to survive on her own.

Kittens this age are incredibly fragile. Their tiny bodies have very little reserve, meaning even common illnesses can quickly become life-threatening. Keeping them warm, hydrated, and eating often can make the difference between life and death.

Since arriving at Kitty Bungalow, Georgie has been receiving around-the-clock care and living in one of our incubators, where we can carefully control her temperature and provide the extra support she needs while she recovers.

She’s still got a long road ahead of her, but every day she’s getting a little stronger, a little bigger, and a little closer to the future she deserves.

For now, Georgie’s job is simple: stay warm, eat lots, and keep growing. ❤️🐾

Lil Tootsie’s first day in corporate America.

Started the day by the keyboard, eager and ambitious.

Ended the day bundled up and unconscious.

Turns out her true calling is middle-management-level napping. 😴

✨ Introducing the P Crew:

Pete. Repete. Peterina. Pedro.

No, we didn’t let a toddler name them... but we probably could have. 😂

These four tiny delinquents have officially enrolled in Charm School, where they’re majoring in Mischief and minoring in Making Everything a Toy. Their days are currently filled with wrestling matches, surprise attacks on siblings, dramatic zoomies, and the occasional nap pile. The good news? They have a foster secured and should be ready for adoption in just a few weeks!

You may notice that sweet little Repete has a slight head tilt. We’re working with our veterinarian to figure out whether it’s related to a mild case of cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), an inner ear issue, or something else entirely. Whatever the cause, he’s happy, playful, and keeping up with the rest of the class. ❤️

Meanwhile, kitten season is in full swing and we’re welcoming new intakes while preparing for even more through our TNR program this week. These tiny fluffballs may be small, but their appetites are anything but!

If you’d like to help keep the P Crew fueled for their studies, our wishlist is linked in our bio. Their tuition is paid, but their snack budget is out of control.

The P Crew thanks you for your support! 🫡

Please welcome our newest and one of our tiniest medical students, Tootsie! We picked up this little sweetie from the shelter last Wednesday and took her straight to our partner hospital, CARES.

This tiny kitten weighed just ¾ of a pound, but she was carrying devastating injuries. She arrived at the shelter with a severe injury to her right ear, a degloving injury to her right hind foot, and multiple fractures in the same leg (TRIGGER WARNING: last photo is her foot injury). The shelter suspected she may have been hit by a car, though the extent of her injuries tells a heartbreaking story no kitten should ever have to live through.

After evaluating her injuries, the hospital team determined that amputating her right hind leg would give her the best chance at a comfortable, pain-free future.

And somehow, despite everything, Tootsie did exactly what kittens do.

She survived.

She made it through surgery. She’s eating, healing, and already proving that she’s stronger than anyone could have imagined.

It never stops being heartbreaking to see a kitten this small suffer such severe trauma. But if there’s one thing Tootsie has taught us this week, it’s that resilience doesn’t come in sizes.

Sometimes it comes in a ¾-pound kitten named Tootsie. As always, we are only able to help medical cases like hers because of the support of our community. Please consider donating if you are able.

(P.S. She was named Tootsie because she’s now missing her footsie. We cope with trauma through bad jokes and doll play sets around here. ❤️)
