The first hatchling has escaped from the egg. Its yolk sac isn't absorbed yet so kept it on a paper towel ring so the hatchling doesnt damage it while trying to move around. Note : These posts are to educate people about the basic requirements of Indian Star Tortoises. Even though it is illegal to keep them as pets in India, people are anyway keeping them in captivity. Having no control over people, we are trying to educate people about keeping their tortoises healthy in captivity with the help of rescued and conservation groups. If you do not have a star tortoise in captivity in India, please do not get one

As much as I love all my reptiles, unfortunately I have to rehome this spicy little dude. Drax is an 8 month old male beardie with an attitude. He hasn’t bitten me or my husband yet but he does flatten, hiss, open his mouth and scurry away when you try to pick him up. Once he’s out of his enclosure he calms down but is still not a fan of human contact. We got his sister the same day and she’s a sweetheart so idk why he’s such an angry boy. He eats like a champ! Rehoming fee applies. Will sell the enclosure as well if needed (not the decorations, lights or hides though) located in Springfield, OH.

I have an approx. 9 year old male Russian Tortoise (Frank) I would like to rehome. It breaks my heart but unfortunately I just don't feel I have the time to give to him like he needs & deserves. I would like for him to go to a home who has experience with taking care of Russian Tortoises and will be picky in my selection. I am located in Cortland, OH and not willing to ship. No rehoming fee but his enclosure will be up for sale if there is interest. Cross posted
