“How will I know if my dog likes riding?”

It’s one of the most common questions we receive from riders and it’s actually the easiest to answer.

Dogs love riding almost universally.

It exposes them to everything they love: sights, sounds, smells, new environments, and accompanying their person instead of being left at home.

They just don’t know what what riding is all about and there are no words to explain it to them.

That’s why introducing them to the experience with enthusiasm, high-value treats, and confident pack leadership is the key to an easy and successful sensitization.

The vast majority of copilots are out riding on their very first day of training and some riders leap right into a motorcycle trip as soon as they received their new Cockpit.

So, all dogs want what riding gives them. We make the whole process easier by how we introduce them to it.

The warm weather is arriving fast, which is why your Cockpit is designed to maximize airflow and ventilate heat.

In cool spring and autumn temperatures – or if your ride takes you high into the snowy mountains – keeping snug and bundled up is no big challenge.

A good dog jacket or our Cockpit RainFly is usually all your copilot needs because your body acts as a big windscreen.
