Meet 5 year old Max (A2015029) at West Valley Animal Shelter! Outta the Cage rescue was kind enough to invite Max to their adoption event. As usual he was an amazing boy. He rides great in the car, met the public and was friendly. Max enjoyed walking in the park. He loved his bath and pup cup on the way home. He has good playgroup notes and is great with teenage volunteers. We think Max is a lab, husky, and chow mix! What do you think??

Sweet puppy DULCE (A2272306 ) was rescued from the Los Angeles West Valley shelter by Blue-Collar Dog Rescue!

This super sweet and petite young lady barely made it out of the shelter alive but Blue-Collar Dog Rescue pulled her on her kill day. She's spending some time at a short term foster in the LA area where she is quickly learning to rebuild trust, and will soon be ready to head to Blue Collar headquarters in Michigan to further decompress and relax before finding her loving forever home.

DULCE needs to head for home within the next 7-10 days and can't hitch a ride (no opposable thumbs!) so she needs help raising the funds to reserve a cozy spot in an air-conditioned Sprinter van to begin her next chapter!

The transport cost is $650, and any amount toward the total is greatly appreciated. As the shelter ordered that she not be seen by anyone, beyond a shelter intake photo, there was no chance to drum up any support in pledges for this gorgeous pup! (which really puts us behind the 8 Ball now!)

3 year old Lola ( ) has been at West Valley Animal Shelter for about a month now. She came in petrified and was aggressive in her kennel. Within the last two weeks she has loosened up and has become a volunteer favorite! She is silly , affectionate, and loves to play with the ball. She does not love going to playgroup yet but loves people. Go slow with her. Looks like she might of had a rough life, it's time for her to get the home that she deserves! Bonded Kitties Need out Together at the W. Valley LA City Shelter!
MICHI (Gray tabby,4 yrs old, not spayed & weighs 12 lbs) and her Bro TOM (3 yrs old, neutered & weighs 13 lbs) were Surrendered due to the owner moving and not taking the sweethearts with them. MICHI will let me pet her but as per the owner, does Not like being picked up and TOM enjoys soft and gentle petting. If you are looking for a bonded duo -then please come on down and meet them! Senior Kitty Girl LINKS (10 yrs old, spayed & weighs 6 lbs) is Now on the Euthanasia list for Wednesday, June 17 at the W. Valley LA City Shelter! LINKS owner went into the hospital and never came back for her! LINKS is Shy but Sweet- will allow gentle petting when it's quiet in the cat room. She is eating only wet food due to having dental disease. She has a good appetite and uses her litter box! Please Network so LINKS can find a home/rescue!! LINKS is very scared to leave her cage - she's been at the shelter for 3 months with no interest. She was on a hold for a month to see if her owner came back and then she's been available for 2 months and no one has even asked to visit her. Volunteers love her! On Tuesday, June 9, Capone was rushed to the emergency vet in the middle of the night due to BLOAT. His stomach had twisted 360 degrees, and thanks to lifesaving emergency surgery, he survived.

Capone spent two days in the hospital receiving round-the-clock care. He has now been home for three days and is doing really well. He’s eating, happy to be back in his comfy bed, and surrounded by love from his wonderful family.

Capone has only been with his new family for about a month, and unfortunately, this was not a cost they ever expected to face. Because it was an emergency surgery, the total bill was over $10,000. In this small amount of time Capone has enjoyed walks with his brother Elvis and bonding with the kids. He was finally letting out his husky howls showing his family how happy and comfortable he's been since getting adopted from West Valley.

We offered to open a GoFundMe to help relieve as much of this financial strain as we can. This family gave Capone a second chance at life, and helping them now is the least we can do.

No amount is too small. If you find it in your heart to help this beautiful family and sweet Capone, we would be so grateful.

For all of those people who like small white fluffy dogs (i.e. Everyone), this one’s for you!

This is 10-yo, 10-pound Snowy and he truly couldn’t be cuter. He has an issue (undiagnosed as of yet) with one of his hind legs and his teeth are so bad that they’re causing him pain. So, he does need some medical attention.

He also needs love and a home. Can you foster or adopt? Reach out to us or the shelter. He doesn’t need to spend his golden years in a cage.

PLEASE HELP US FIND GRACEY A HOME!!!

8yo GRACEY ( ) had two masses removed and 3 teeth extracted at an outside vet. She is now recovering at a temp foster home where she will stay until she gets her sutures removed. She’s doing great with the other dogs in the home. We really, really do NOT want her going back to the shelter - ever! Please DM us or comment if you can long-term foster or better yet ADOPT this amazingly resilient gal. She is in Southern California.
