Bonus hour this weekend. If you’re spending yours slowing down, same.

People see the riding part and think that’s the job. But so much of what actually goes into good horses happens in the quiet hours. The farrier visits, the vet checks, the bodywork, the days a horse just needs a lighter ride or no ride at all. That’s the stuff that doesn’t make the highlight reel, and it’s honestly where the real work is.

Not every ride is going to be perfect, and it’s not supposed to be. Progress is built in all the unglamorous in-between moments.

So however you use your extra hour, we hope it’s a good one. 🤎

Quick reminder heading into the rest of the year. 🍂

It’s easy to focus on what’s not working. The habit you can’t shake, the thing that won’t click, the ride that didn’t go your way.

But even the frustrating rides are still rides. You still showed up, still got barn time, still got to be around the horses.

Not every ride has to be your best one. Some just get to be yours, and that’s enough.

Grateful for all of them.
