Sweet Pauly, what a gift it was to be able to foster and love on you for 2 weeks 🥹. You were only with us a short time but showed us incredible love and resilience we’ve never seen. Lovingly nicknamed “Chill Vader” by my kiddos (due to his calm nature but also low raspy breathing which resembled Darth Vader 🤣) we weren’t sure how his story would go, but we knew we wanted to care for him for however long he had or until he found his forever home. Thank you Saving Livy Cat Rescue for taking him in and doing everything we could possibly do for him. We will remember him forever, he left quite an impressive mark on all our hearts 💕

I won’t say he *lost* his fight with cancer—because truly, Pauly won in every way that mattered. He found us. He found love. He found a fospice family who cherished him in the short time they had together. Warrior Animal Rescue

Following a well-deserved break to savor the remaining summer days with our families before the new school year, we are delighted to announce our return with new intakes!

A compassionate individual had been caring for a local stray cat, unaware of her pregnancy. When the cat became aggressive and bit her, she was taken to the local county shelter to ensure she wasn't carrying any transmissible diseases and to undergo spaying. Approximately 18 hours later, three tiny kittens with umbilical cords still attached were discovered in the bushes. The finder immediately contacted the shelter in an attempt to reunite the family, but unfortunately, the mother was under quarantine. Thankfully, the test results came back negative, and the mother was spayed and amazingly was listed as adoptable since she was so sweet and adopted into her forever home that same day!
However, during that time the finder took on the remarkable responsibility of caring for the three kittens around the clock, with some assistance from friends. Over the next two weeks, they provided dedicated care, including addressing the health issues of one kitten, nicknamed Boots, who struggled with gastrointestinal upset and required emergency veterinary attention. The finder's selfless efforts and significant financial investment of over $1,000 ensured the kittens' survival. As the new school year began, the finder reached out to our rescue for assistance. We are pleased to have taken on these precious kittens from the shelter and will provide further updates soon. We would like to express our gratitude to the finder by helping to reimburse some of the expenses incurred. We just dropped off 8 kittens, YES 8🥰 beautiful, loving, snuggly kittens at our cafe partner PURe Joy CAT CAFE! All are ready for their furrever homes!

Lots of updates here!

Our family had a very busy April and May! In late April our oldest daughter needed surgery to get her appendix removed, we had 2 birthdays, an extra long weekend mini vacation and lots of kitten intakes!

First, our 5 sweet herbs are ready for adoption! Early on someone reached out about them and when they met them, they fell in love with 3 right away! We were so thrilled that they wanted 3 siblings!!! They went to their forever home last week and their adopters are so thrilled with them 💕. Basil and Parsley are still available (we aren’t sure how-they are the sweetest!) at our cafe partner PURe Joy Cat Cafe. Go meet these love bugs!

Second, our Toy Story babies are growing like crazy and went for spay and neuter this week Thursday and will be ready for adoption by early next week! They are the sweetest most playful babies!

Next, we received 4 Good Burger babies from our sister rescue, Saving Livy! We renamed them after David Bowie’s movie Labyrinth. They are the sweetest boys! Ambrosius and Labyrinth went to our cafe partner, Pure Joy cafe last week and brothers, Sir Didymus and Ludo will be joining next week!

The fluffy Flowers: we received a request to help 6 kittens in early May. At first they were a bit skittish and spicy but with lots of love and TLC, they started warming up. A few days later we started deworming and they lost a lot of weight! They were filled with parasites 🦠 We’ve been slowly getting their weight up and with extra patience and diligence they all have been gaining beautifully and will be ready for surgery next week. They are some of the most beautiful kittens we’ve seen! So soft and cuddly and such unique colorings! 2 are longhair beauties!

We are very behind on posting! We’ve been busy with a crazy amount of kittens and a nearly week-long hospital stay with one of our kids! Updates coming soon I promise! But for now…let’s take a quick moment to appreciate this adorable baby 🥰

Last week we were alerted to a kitten situation that needed assistance.

While walking towards the home, a gentleman heard crying and shortly after, kittens came running towards him. He called his girlfriend to come help him. She grabbed a laundry basket and a towel and ran out. There were 6 kittens estimated at 2-4 weeks. She had a very good idea who the mama was and watched and waited for her 2 different times. She even did a stake-out through the night to be able to reunite. Unfortunately, the area they live in has many predators and we fear she was in the process of moving them and sadly didn’t make it back.😢 They are still watching for her. Knowing they needed to eat every few hours, they graciously took on the task to bottle feed all 6 every 4 hours through the night for a week! Being a rescue, we understand what an undertaking that can be and are so incredibly grateful for both of their efforts. 😇

During our initial conversation, she noted that a few of the babies already had loving and safe homes lined up, which is amazing. Not to mention a friend that was willing to foster and had past experience with bottle babies-double YAY! I offered to intake all babies under our rescue first to make sure they were stable, flea free and no visible infection. I also wanted to deworm them right away since they were found outside. She willingly put her trust in us and brought them to us that night. She even hung around to see how we do our intake. 😊 It was fun for us to get to know her more and be able to share what we do with someone who cares about animals as much as we do.

Babies took to our formula very quickly and all love to eat! We did unfortunately have to separate every one of them because all 4 females and 1 of the 2 males were sucklers, which is very dangerous, but we hope to reunite shortly. Updates coming soon!
