I intended to retire Seraphina after her October litter so she could enjoy life as a cuddle buddy to an awesome human. She is no longer pregnant (see below) so she will retire a little earlier than planned. She will be a wonderful companion to a lucky human. She is incredibly sweet and a bit silly so she makes me smile a lot. 😊 She gets along with everyone and she’d love to get and give lots of loves. Currently her spay is set for October 31st but if an incredible family is approved and wants her sooner, I may be able to schedule it sooner.

I wanted to keep this wonderful girl but she deserves more one on one attention. For those that are wondering how she could be no longer pregnant, kittens that cease developing are reabsorbed by the mother. Seraphina has always had small litters and in this case, the one(s) she had stopped growing and were reabsorbed. I suspected at least some were lost a few weeks ago as she started to lose a little weight after her initial gains. Then this week she went into heat and that confirmed her pregnancy was over. It is something that is a first for me but it happens often in the cat world. Kittens would have been nice but it’s more important that Seraphina is healthy and happy.

Litter K at 9 weeks old.

Kenai and Kenzie are growing fast and have enjoyed visiting my office to play in the pen and slowly meet other kitties. Proud and protective mama Fleur watches over them carefully.

Kenzie is still the bigger kitty per the scale but Kenai is so fluffy that he looks bigger. Both are so dang sweet, fun and vocal.

Lovely Itzel ❤

The first two pics are from yesterday and the others are from mid August when I thought I'd get an update done. Her coat is coming back nicely after she shed some of it in May and June. She's a total lover and she's on the petite side with fine bones which really showed when she shed her longer coat. She's so excited for loves that it's hard to get a picture of her still.

Kenai started to play fetch a bit on his own so I encouraged it, used the word fetch and praised him when he returned it. He had it down in no time and he thought it was great fun. 😀

Kenzie meanwhile doesn't seem interested. She loves to poince and be a spaz but bringing toy bachas no appeal to her. 🤣

Week 7 Litter K photos.❤

This kitties have so much personality and they are big. They are still very similar in size to Litter E which was huge. Kenai is more fluffy at this point so he looks bigger but his sister still out weighs him. 😀

The picture with the kittens and their mom Fleur is when the babies snuggled up to mama while I was vacuuming in the hall. They weren't so sure about all that noise. Pretty sure Kenai was comfort nursing before I opened the door. The kittens have been eating independently for the most for a few weeks and they took to the litter box quickly.

Kenzie was the better model this week. Kenai wasn't to interested in being still and even decided that he'd turn his back to me a few times. 🤣 I had to make what I could get work.

Kenai & Kenzie at 9 weeks and a glimpse of mom Fleur.

Now that the kittens have had their first vaccination, they get to come visit me in a pen I set up in my office where I will be taking a million pictures and videos. 🤣 The kittens settled in quickly while Fleur is being very protective and is still adapting to the other kitties being around.

I have so many videos I haven't shared yet so I'm posting this right away.

Sadly some people are still weird about black kitties and sometimes cruel to them. Protect your babies.
