I intended to retire Seraphina after her October litter so she could enjoy life as a cuddle buddy to an awesome human. She is no longer pregnant (see below) so she will retire a little earlier than planned. She will be a wonderful companion to a lucky human. She is incredibly sweet and a bit silly so she makes me smile a lot. 😊 She gets along with everyone and she’d love to get and give lots of loves. Currently her spay is set for October 31st but if an incredible family is approved and wants her sooner, I may be able to schedule it sooner.
I wanted to keep this wonderful girl but she deserves more one on one attention. If you want to find out more about adopting, please check out my website www.taucoon.com there is a tab for kittens, retirees and a FAQs tab full of key info for people new to the breed. There is also an option to email to request an application.
For those that are wondering how she could be no longer pregnant, kittens that cease developing are reabsorbed by the mother. Seraphina has always had small litters and in this case, the one(s) she had stopped growing and were reabsorbed. I suspected at least some were lost a few weeks ago as she started to lose a little weight after her initial gains. Then this week she went into heat and that confirmed her pregnancy was over. It is something that is a first for me but it happens often in the cat world. Kittens would have been nice but it’s more important that Seraphina is healthy and happy.
