Today was my first acupuncture adventure at the vet’s office. Before we started, I was a little unsure. Then a really gentle lady, Dr. Moore, came in and stuck a bunch of these little red needles in me, but it didn’t really hurt. I could just tell they were there.

When she was done, she left Mom and me in the room by ourselves, and I didn’t understand. Was I supposed to go home with all these needles sticking out of me? No way!! I did a couple of shakes and was able to shake out 5 of those things, but no more.

Mom didn’t seem to be getting ready to leave, so I finally just laid down on the cool tile and rested. It must’ve been a long time later since I almost fell asleep, but another kind lady finally came in and took all the needles out. Then we left.

I’m really not sure what that was all about, but Mom said we’re coming back to do it again next week and then again some other time to see if it “works,” whatever that means. It wasn’t so scary, so I don’t think I mind trying it again, especially since I got a lot of treats for it! And I’ll do almost anything for treats! 🐶❤️🍪

I was so happy I got to go to work with Mom on her birthday. I worked hard at the office with her today, so I was really happy when we got to go back home too. Happy birthday, Mom! ❤️🎉🎁🎈

My first day on the job with Mommy was a success!

Mom said she needed my help at work. I thought that was pretty funny - how’s a puggle supposed to help in financial services? 🐕😝

But then I heard her talking about doing some paperwork for a client’s rollover, and that’s when it hit me: I’m an expert at rolling over! She really DOES need my help at work! 😃

It was a long day at the office, but I’m happy to be anywhere as long as I’m with my mom. 🐶❤️👩

Now excuse me while I go take a nap - I’m exhausted! 😴

I’ve had recurring urinary tract infections for a few months now, so Mom decided to take me in for a check-up with the vet today. Unfortunately, we left with worse news than expected: I have a tumor the size of a large grapefruit growing in my abdomen, and a second smaller mass growing next to it. The vet thinks that the tumors are pressing on my bladder (and other organs), and that is what is causing my urinary problems.

The last surgery I had nearly took me out for good, so Mommy and the vet decided it was best to just manage the pain until my time comes to move to doggie heaven, which the vet says will likely happen within the next year or so.

This is all very fresh, and so Mom, Dad, and I are still trying to make sense of it all, but I know I’m in good hands. I am still such a happy boy, and I still LOVE to eat!

And even though I act like I don’t understand my mom when she tells me stuff sometimes, I DO understand the human language and heard very distinctly when the vet told Mom she was prescribing all my favorite things, including delicious steak, as much as I want from now on. Silver lining. 😃

We appreciate your prayers for us as we move forward after this life-changing news. I will keep you all updated. Thank you all for being my friends!

Today we celebrate the Lord Jesus’ victory over death after His work on the cross to cleanse humans of their sins.

Thankfully, we pups just need our faces cleansed. Let me show you how it’s done: just sniff, lick, & wipe! And voilà! I’m brand new!

Today my mom got this special doggie bandana from her college she attended, Grand Valley State University, for their Alumni “Bark at Your Park” event. Since it’s her birthday, I allowed a short photo shoot. And by “allowed,” I mean barely cooperated while begging for treats the whole time. This was the best she could get after taking about 40 pics. I think it’s pretty good! I look handsome, right? 🐶😁📸

I am a good boy, so I don't mind pitching in to help around the house. I like to help my mom when she's cooking dinner by cleaning up any food she drops on the floor.

Tonight, I set myself up for duty right in the area she would be most likely to drop things. And she had the nerve to call me "Road Block"! 😱 Can you believe that?! I don't really know what she meant, but it doesn't sound very nice. Seems ungrateful, if you ask me.

Don't worry, though. I still did my duty and helped her, even though I am old enough to be retired from duty now. That's just the kind of pup I am. 🐕

Hey, everyone! Come see how good I look!! 😁🤩

It’s been about three months since my spleen surgery and Cushing’s diagnosis, and I am fully recovered and doing great now! Mom and Dad took me on a nice long walk by the water today. I was really strutting my stuff! I may be twelve years old, but I feel like I’m five again! Life is good!

Mom and Dad took me on a nice, long walk at the park today. It was the longest walk I’ve done since my surgery a couple months ago, and I had plenty of energy for it. Mom called me her peppy puggle.

Now that I’ve been taking my medicine for a while, I feel like a young pup again! And apparently I look it, too. We met a nice lady at the park who fell in love with me. She said I was the cutest pup she’d ever seen. Then she quickly added, “Other than my two at home, of course.” I am pretty sure she felt like she had to say that in case word ever gets back to her doggies.

Then she asked my mom, “How big is he supposed to get?” Can you believe that?!? Like I was a puppy!!! 😃 She was so surprised when Mom told her I am 12 years old. 😁

I still got it, folks! I still got it. 😉

It was quite the ruff national pet week for me, my friends. Some bad bloodwork led to a test for Cushing’s disease; a diagnosis of Cushing’s disease led to a confirmatory abdominal ultrasound; a scary spleen mass found in the ultrasound led to two separate surgeries to remove my spleen. 😔 But everything is going to be okay because God is watching over us. Now, I am in recovery mode, a bit uncomfortable, but happy to be home with my mom and dad.

Mom and Dad were pretty nervous for me, but they said I was such a good, brave boy through it all! I even inspired Mom to make another meme—she’s never made two in one week before! She really loves this sweet, and now spleenless, snuggle puggle! She says she is blessed to have me; and I am blessed to have her and such a wonderful family to take care of me.

Grocery shopping day isn’t my favorite because my mom goes without me. I just don’t understand why I can’t go, too. But I LOVE when Mom gets home, especially since she always buys me something—usually pumpkin or sweet potato puree for my dinner! Yum!
She sure does appreciate my help putting the groceries away!

It’s my birthday today! Mom made this puggle picture collage to celebrate my 12 years on this planet, and my 10 years with her. She adopted me shortly after my 2nd birthday—the biggest pic is the first one she ever took of me (all the rest are me now, at 12 years old).

Things have changed a lot for me in 12 years, but the most important thing has remained the same: my love for my family, and theirs for me! 🐶❤️🎂🎉

Well, my friends, I traveled back in time to the very first Christmas so I could understand the true reason for the season. I bowed to baby Jesus to show honor to Him, the Savior of mankind. He was such a cute little King of kings!

Everyone brought Him gifts, but baby Jesus didn’t seem all that interested in gold, frankincense, and myrrh that night. He did coo and giggle when I gave him some puggle snuggles, so I think He liked my gift the best!

I am glad to know the true meaning of Christmas now! Merry Christmas, everyone! 🐶❤️👶✝️🙌

The dreaded day has arrived once again for us, my fellow American pups. Because of some stupid human rule, we dogs have to suffer through an hour-long delay for our dinner today, and we likely won’t adjust to the new schedule for weeks, possibly even months!

Well, I’ve had enough! It’s too ruff for us pooches to get used to a new routine—we have rights, too! Routine rights! I am hereby calling on all dogs to organize marches across the country (except the only sane states of Hawaii and Arizona, of course) to protest the ridiculous rule known as Daylight Savings Time! All dogs are welcome to join in the march—mutts, mixed, purebred of any breed! Let us all unite together for this important cause; otherwise, we could STARVE waiting that extra hour!

I do not like to be left at home alone, not even for a minute! So I will just keep my paws on Mommy’s shoes in case I fall asleep. That way, if she has to go anywhere, she’ll have to wake me up to give her the sad puggle puppy eyes before she leaves. Puggle Dreaming

You ever have those really weird dreams that just seem so real? I recently went on a hike at Catalina State Park in Arizona, and my first morning nap of the day took me right back there—snorting up all the unfamiliar smells and chasing lizards! It was a great time... until I woke up with no lizard reward in my mouth! At least I still had my mom right next to me. 🐶❤️🦎 🐶❤️👩🏻
