This Thanksgiving week, we’re extra grateful for dogs like Whiskey — the ones who remind us that every single day can be a fresh start.

Whiskey is a 2-year-old, 72-lb Pit Bull mix who has truly begun to blossom. The shut-down, unsure boy we first met has grown into a dog whose BIG personality now shines bright. He’s goofy, affectionate, expressive, and ready to connect.

Put him near another dog and he lights up instantly — tail going, play mode activated, joy written all over him. He LOVES canine friends. And when it comes to cats? He’s shown healthy curiosity without fixation, so with proper introductions, a home with feline roommates should be just fine for him.

What makes Whiskey special is his huge heart — one that seems wide open to loving everything and everyone. People, dogs, sunshine, yard time… he embraces it all with gratitude and enthusiasm.

If you’re looking for a dog who brings warmth, laughter, and genuine joy into your days, Whiskey is ready to meet you.
Come see this boy shine. 🧡🐾

🦃✨ Meet Wilma — Our Tiny Petite Pitty Paw Princess ✨🧡

7 years young • 50 lbs • Pit Bull Mix
ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS — FOSTER TO ADOPT
Adoptable once fully vetted (spay pending)

If you’re looking for a Thanksgiving houseguest who brings sweetness, calm, and a whole lot of gentle charm… Wilma might be your girl.

This 7-year-young, 50lb petite Pitty Princess has weathered a lot of stress and change, yet she remains loving, patient, and quietly hopeful. She is kennel tidy, keeps her space clean, and finds comfort in predictable routines. She loves her snack time, enjoys her walks, and prefers slow, easy introductions with new people and new situations — she opens up beautifully with kindness and a little reassurance.

Wilma has done well with most dogs, including previously living with Weston, who is basically a giant puppy who thinks play-wrestling should be an Olympic sport. She handled his goofy, over-the-top energy with grace — proving she can live alongside a big, silly friend who doesn’t always remember his size.

She’s now searching for a foster-to-adopt home while she completes her vetting (she still needs her spay). All she needs is a soft place to land, a peaceful environment, and someone who appreciates a calm, loyal companion who radiates quiet love.

If you want a holiday guest who settles in like she’s always belonged… come meet Wilma.
She’s ready to be someone’s princess this Thanksgiving. 🧡🐾

There’s a gentle shift happening with Humphrey — some dogs arrive carrying quiet storms, and he’s slowly learning how to let his pass.

In the short time he’s been with us, this 4-year-old, 73lb Pit Bull/GSD/Lab/Border Collie mix has begun to exhale. Humphrey has discovered the comfort of simply being — stretching out, relaxing, and settling into a routine that finally feels safe.

He’s finding friendship in his own company and blossoming into a playful dog who greets other dogs with soft curiosity and a willingness to get to know them. Around cats, he’s shown mild, respectful interest — nothing over the top.

Humphrey is a quiet soul, tidy in his kennel, patient while waiting his turn for walks, and deeply appreciative of anyone who sits with him in the yard for a few peaceful minutes. In a shelter full of chaos, he’s the steady heartbeat who brings calm without even trying.

He deserves the world — a soft home, a gentle hand, and people who understand the beauty of a dog who doesn’t need to be loud to be loving.

If you’re looking for a thoughtful, steady companion who’s just beginning to shine, come meet Humphrey. 🖤🐾
