Winter walks can be magical, but they also require extra care for dogs. To keep your pet's paws safe and comfy after those snowy adventures:

🐾 Wipe paws with a damp cloth to remove ice melt and salt
🐾 Use pet-safe paw balm to soothe and protect paw pads
🐾 Check for any cracks or irritation regularly
🐾 Trim the fur between toes to prevent ice buildup

The chilly season is upon us, but that doesn't mean the fun has to stop! Some of our favorite Winter Activities to keep our canine friends entertained and fit during the frosty months:

❄️ **Winter Walk Adventures**: Bundle up and take a scenic walk in your local park. Protect your pup's paws with salve or booties, and wipe paws before coming inside in the event of contact with ice melt chemicals

⛄ **Snow Play**: Let your dog enjoy the snow! Building a snowman or some snow ball fetch can be the perfect way to mix playtime with exercise.

🏠 **Indoor Fetch**: For those extremely cold days, a game of fetch in the living room is a safe and fun way to expend energy.

📦 **Puzzle Toys**: Keep their minds sharp with interactive puzzle toys that hide treats inside.

👃 **Scent Games**: Hide their favorite treats around the house and let them "forage", an instinctual and fun activity for them

🍂 As leaves are falling, so is the temperature. It's important to consider how to keep our furry friends comfortable and safe as the weather changes...

- Hydration: Ensuring your pets always have access to fresh water is crucial year round.
- Warm Gear: Consider investing in a cozy sweater or jacket for your short-haired dogs to keep them warm during walks and outdoor playtime
- Tick Season: Due to warmer temps lingering, ticks stay active later into the year. Keep your pets protected.
- Atifreeze: as you're closing your pool or RV, keep antifreeze in a safe place that pets don't access, and clean up any spills immediately

🍂 As the seasons change, it's the perfect time to think about changes in pet care!

- **Keep Warm**: 🧣 As temperatures drop, make sure your pets have cozy spaces and maybe even cute sweaters for chillier days
- **Wear Reflective Clothing/Gear**: 🌟 As it starts to get darker earlier, make sure you're visible especially to vehicles
- **Check for Ticks**: 🍁 Fall hikes are beautiful, but ticks are still a risk. Keep your pets protected and do thorough checks

🐾 As summer winds down, it's the perfect time to make the most of these warm days with your furry friends. Some outdoor activities to enjoy with your pets before the leaves start to fall:

🌳 **Park Adventures:** Take your pup on a scenic walk in the park. Let them explore and sniff around. It's great exercise and so much fun for them!

🌞 **Beach Days:** If you're near a dog-friendly beach, it's a wonderful way for your dog to cool off and have a blast. Don't forget to bring fresh water and watch for hot sand.

🐶 **Playdates:** Arrange a playdate with doggy friends (rather than a dog park, to make sure everyone is up to date on vet-recommended immunizations). It’s not only good for socialization but also tires them out in the best way!

🌸 **Early Morning Walks:** Take advantage of the cooler mornings for longer walks or jogs. Your dog will appreciate the fresh air without the intense heat of midday. If your schedule is full, contact us for help with Dog Walk or Hike 'n Play visits!

• Schedule a potty break or walk visit with your Comfy sitter to break up their day 🐶
