Beamer 🫶

Officially has MET and surpassed her viability day, 310! It was a tough week, we weren't sure we were gonna see viability! But Beamer, as strong as she was, has now made it to day 312!

Her bag is wee little, but building!

Her PH is steady around 8-8.4!

And she is COMFORTABLE! And thats all we can ask for after the past few days🙏

It has been nearly a week since our horse, Beamer, underwent treatment for colic, specifically a minor impaction colic as presumed by our vets.

Fortunately, prompt and early intervention yielded a successful recovery, facilitated by the administration of Banamine, intravenous fluids, mineral oil via nasogastric tube, enemas, soaked hay, and extensive walking.

This intensive care regimen enabled Beamer to make a complete turnaround, returning to her usual self and resuming pasture activities. We are grateful for the ability to identify the issue promptly and appreciate the timely intervention of the veterinary team, which undoubtedly contributed to the favorable outcome.

Ikes Driften Go Lena "Beamer" is currently 307 days in foal to our stallion Doc Double Deal - AQHA Perlino Stallion. She has slightly started to bag up and feel the Maiden Pregnancy pains and irritability. She is uncomfortable. We are watching her closely, incase a vet is needed to intervene.

Send prayers in hopes this is all just a fluke and her being uncomfortable because of baby shifting and not signs of colic.

Smoken Peppy Lena "Cricket" has MET and surpassed her viability day of 310! Currently 313 days in foal to Hashtags You're It owned by Natalie Peters Hieronimus and family.

She is one that normally goes over due around 355-365, so we are in for a LONG wait yet!
