Just wanted to shed some light on the products Simparica and Simparica Trio. We have been getting a lot concerns about the seizures and people stating that it causes your pet to have seizures. This is FALSE. This medication wouldn't cause your dog to develop a seizure disorder. If your pet has never had seizures, and has one while on Simparica then it is because your pet had an underlying seizure disorder. The reason this product is not recommended for dogs with seizure disorders is because it has not been tested. The drug that is in Simparica is also in Bravecto and Nexgard and there is nothing going around that those medications cause seizure disorders.

Dogs can have reactions from medications, any medication. Just like a reaction you may have to a medication. The medication didn't make your body develop the reaction, it was already there, the medication brought it to the surface from your body's reaction. So if the disorder or reaction presents itself then know we need to stay away from the medication. Not every product or medication will work for your pet, adverse reactions can occur. Thankfully seizures are very few. The most common reactions are gastro issues which can also be avoided if you speak with your veterinary staff about how to possibly prevent any in the future while taking Simparica.

All medications have adverse reactions, including ours. It is always best to consult with your veterinarian and staff for what is going to be best for you and your pets. If you have concerns we are more than happy to discuss what we have learned with you. If we didn't believe in the product we wouldn't carry it.
