We are currently working with more than 200 species in order to provide captive bred pets for everyone from the first time pet owner to the experienced keeper. Baby bluey season has started! This little eastern bluey (Tiliqua scincoides scincoides) was more than willing to display their namesake.

I do believe I found a new soundtrack for pairing blue tongues.
I’ve been able to get five subspecies to pair so far this season. Two more appear to be right on their heels.
I do realize the last picture is a pair of green tree monitors and not a pair of blueys. That’s what happens when there are a couple seconds left of the song and my skill set does not include video editing.

Who has 4 copies of each chromosome and just hatched at Great Basin Serpentarium? These two! Aspidoscelis priscillae and P. neavesi.
I recently had the awesome opportunity to get a small group of each of these “species”. If you’re not familiar with their history put either of those species names into a google scholar search.
