First, thank you all for the messages and texts today. After a long 12 hour day, Smudge is in her favorite spot......my lap. She was a great trooper today but now we rest. Tomorrow back for a bandage change and stitches out in 14 days. A huge shout out to Dr. Morrow who's been our vet for over 25 years. He "retired" but didn't last long. He purchased a new clinic and is DEFINITELY worth the hour + drive. Thank you Wolf Creek Vet.

Miss Smudge is a treasured member of our family, providing companionship, warmth, and joy as my shadow, lap warmer, and travel buddy. Tomorrow, she'll undergo surgery to remove her left eye due to an accidental scratch from a fellow kitty friend during play. Her gentle nature makes her a wonderful companion to her feline friends, who adore her. The injury was a pure accident, and I'm filled with sadness knowing she has to go through this. Fortunately, our veterinarian of 25 years will be handling her care, and I have every confidence in her expertise. We're sending out a heartfelt request for positive thoughts and wishes for Miss Smudge's rapid and complete recovery.
