Friends of Lincoln City Dog Parks

Friends of Lincoln City Dog Parks Dedicated to the promotion of an off-leash dog park in Lincoln City, Oregon. Interested citizens are invited to share ideas and learn about upcoming events.

This interest page is in no way directly affiliated with the City of Lincoln City. A dedicated dog park is a simple concept: It's a designated, fenced, off-leash area where residents and visitors can bring their dogs to play and exercise with other dogs and their owners. Our city parks currently require dogs to be on-leash. There are 7 miles of beautiful beach where dogs are allowed off-leash if t

hey are under voice control. However, the reality is that most beach-goers are uncomfortable with dogs running loose, and there are even many dog owners who prefer dogs to be on-leash while on the beach. It’s a great place for dogs, but it’s not a dog park! Dog ownership is at an all-time high. Doesn't a dedicated dog park for Lincoln City make sense? We can help reduce the negatives associated with dogs and people sharing space (over-friendly off-leash dogs, dog waste, and wear and tear on park spaces)? Shouldn't there be an outlet for dog owners and their canine friends? Wouldn't a committed dog park lead to even more active citizens and stronger neighborhood relationships? Use this bulletin board to share your ideas and questions. Let's get this project started!
