Hi All... I was reminded today of a tradition my family started years ago when I began etching. Each year, our neighborhood block held a cookie exchange. So... what I did was get the last names of each of our neighbors, and I etched their names and a holiday design on the center of the plate and the year that the neighbor recieved the plate. Each year, they would be invited back by some cute little invitation rhyme, that involved them bringing their cookies the following year on that etched plate to refill and take home. That way, no one had to worry about plastic bags, or containers. I only had one instance where I had to make a new plate. Our neighbor went home, and placed the plate of cookies on their table and their beautiful golden retriever thought the cookies were for him and accidently broke the plate. Lol! So cute! If you are interested in doing something like this with your family, friends, or co-workers, please let me know. 10" plates run $15-$20 and Charger size are $25-$30 depending on the artwork chosen. These would make a great addition to any holiday celebration!
