Welcome Taffy, an 8-month-old toy poodle who has joined me for my 30-Day Advanced Board and Train Program.

Being such a tiny pup in such a big world, Taffy is naturally a bit hesitant, a built-in survival instinct for many toy breeds. Part of our work together will be confidence-building so she can explore the world fearlessly, as well as learning important skills like potty training, basic obedience, and reliable recall (coming when she’s called) to keep her safe.

Taffy’s mom is an existing client, I had the pleasure of training her other dog, Bella, back when I lived in Alabama. It’s always so rewarding when clients become like family, and I’m honored to be part of Taffy’s journey too. Follow along to watch this little girl transform into her best self!!!

Dutton’s journey is what happens when you get the right training and stick with it!!!

Two years ago, Dutton came to me a very different dog, nervous around people and quick to react out of fear. Before that, he’d worked with someone who called themselves a “trainer,” but unfortunately, dog training is an unregulated industry, and anyone can claim the title without the proper skill or experience. In Dutton’s case, the wrong approach not only failed to help him ,but it actually made his fear and reactivity worse.

We built a program tailored to him, and here’s where the real magic happened, his owners committed to the process!!! They put in the work, stayed consistent, and held him accountable every single day.

Today, Dutton is neutral around distractions which is the absolute best outcome for a nervous dog. He hikes with his dad, passes strangers and other dogs calmly, visits Tractor Supply and Lowe’s, and even goes to work with his owner at a local veterinary hospital!

Right now, Dutton is here boarding with me, lounging in the sun between playtimes, greeting me with that same goofy face I first met two years ago. It’s such a joy to see him not just thriving in public, but relaxing here like it’s his second home! ❤️ 😍 🥰

Look at Goldeen go!!

🐾 Welcome, Goldeen! 🐾
This sweet girl just arrived at Ashley Beard Canine for a training evaluation through New Destiny Dog Rescue of Bedford County, TN, and she’s also looking for her forever home. 💛

Goldeen is around 3 years old, with a bit of a complicated past—she had a bite incident, which is why she’s now with me for some professional support. She’s here so I can better understand her behavior, give her some structure, and see what kind of home would suit her best.

So far, she seems like a smart, thoughtful, sensitive dog who just needs clear guidance, and boundaries.

She is available for adoption through New Destiny Dog Rescue of Bedford County, TN, but she will need a confident handler who is committed to continuing her training.
